I haven't kept up with the show since season 10, but I've regained interest lately and I do plan on rewatching the old seasons and catching up on what I've missed. Anyways, here is my ranking from memory.Good Seasons1: Season 22: Season 13: Season 3Order of the first 3 seasons is very subject to change. Season 3 is below 1 and 2 because I remember not liking how Season 3 barely used Sandy, and it had 3 mediocre specials and a few other lackluster episodes toward the end of it. Its still a fantastic season of course. And I can easily see Season 1 topping Season 2 once I rewatch since Season 1 was certainly the most charming season of the show.4: Season 9B - This was an insane breath of fresh air. This still has its duds which is the only reason this is lower than Seasons 1-3. Overall, all of the characterization issues are fixed, the episodes are jam packed with humor and charm (with a good variety of dialogue humor and more cartoony humor), the side characters are given chances to shine, and the concepts are the most varied and creative the show has ever been to this point.Okay Seasons:5: Season 4 - first half of it is actually really good, but 2nd half fell hard into mediocrity.6: Season 5 - so many fantastic episodes, but also so many duds sadly. Future seasons should have kept the shorts, it works well for Spongebob.7: Season 8 - unlike seasons 6/7, the show actually tries a lot of interesting and creative ideas and uses Sandy a lot, and there is much less Squidward torture here. And they actually learned how to do good specials here! Sadly, characterization is still flawed in many episodes (Patrick is still way too jerky), and there is just not enough humor.(1/2)
8: Season 9A - Very similar to Season 8, but imo the good episodes werent as good, and the bad episodes werent as bad (with the obvious exception of Spongebob You're Fired).9: Season 10 - Plenty of good elements here, but man I just found that the storytelling was dumbed down and it was way too focused on hyperactive cartoony gags and slapstick. And I remember it having much less creative plots and more repetition than 9B. This was very disappointing after how great 9B was.Bad Seasons:10: Season 7 - This is above Season 6 because there is less Squidward torture and it doesn't feel quite as repetitive or gross. Still, most episodes are bad or mediocre and characterization is not good.11: Season 6 - Awful, just awful. A handful of good episodes doesn't save the sea of bad and mediocre episodes with a lack of humor, grossness, bad characterization and repetition.Overall, I think my most unpopular opinions here is probably having season 3 as the weakest of the first 3 seasons as well as season 8 being so high. What is yalls rankings? And based on my views of seasons 1-10, any prediction about how I will feel about seasons 11 and on? Based on things I have heard, I am worried they will feel closer to 10 than to 9B. But I am holding out hope that there are more seasons that I would consider good out there. I do like the parts I have seen from season 11 from memory. Once I rewatch and catch up on the show I'll rate all the seasons and make tier lists for each season.(2/2)

Sandy is a great character who is a gateway for the show to do fun action and sci-fi stuff, and her dynamic with spongebob and Patrick is really fun since she acts as a straight man and they all like each other. Season 3 did suffer from barely including her, from memory she had only 2 major roles the whole season. That and specials are the two areas where season 8 was actually better than season 3 (although 3 otherwise blows 8 out of the water obviously).
