It's over-hated, but also the third season is the only one that's better than okay. Season two is awful and when public reception started getting bad and never recovered.

They wouldnt fully commit to the idea of Asami being evil and its abundantly obvious that all the flaws in this show would have been fixed if they simply made Asami evil.

ngl I feel like that would have actually made the Korrasami ship more interesting. They could play with the idea of Asami trying to get Korra to side with her or seeing the error of her ways specifically because Korra got through to her.

All they can do is draw straight lines between the plot points they want to do, and theyr happy to change those points on a whim part way through production too.

Season 3 is the only one that really is somewhat better. Season 1 is overrated with that pointless relationship drama and pro-bending filler.
At least Season 3 explores the world like the original and has no relationship drama.

The only part where this series truly fucked up is being so insecure about Aang the writers got rid of the past lives communication entirely. Othwerwise it’s fine. Not lightning in a bottle but still better than most products.
