Thrax deserved to be in something better than an unfunny Farrelly Brothers movie
>>

How would you create a movie with Thrax as the main villain but everything else is different? You could keep his design and personality the same, but you would have to change his backstory and evil goal somewhat if the story wasn't taking place inside some fat gross Bill Murray. Personally I think Thrax would work great in a sci-fi story as an alien bio-terrorist. He already looks like an alien.

>claims to be much deadlier than Ebola
What kind of virus was he?

>DVD/VHS premiere: November 13

WB wasted no time in releasing it on home video after it flopped hard

I like the idea that he was a engineered bio-weapon. I imagine viruses in this universe are like unique races. Being infected with ebola means that you would have a bunch of anthropomorphized ebola virus dudes running amok in your body. Thrax was just one dude going from Human to Human wrecking shit.

TV show is better

He's obviously named after anthrax, and anthrax can be transmitted by animals just like shown in the film, but anthrax is a bacteria and not a virus. Pretty sure he's meant to be unknown to science though.
>>
>>153361687
I actually like when the main villain is a contrast to the rest of the movie/tv show
The tone shift just sticks in the mind
>>
It's boring compared to other 2001 animation comedy films (Shrek, Monsters Inc, Jimmy Neutron)

Rabies ironically isn't that bad of a contender given it's 100% fatal (If you receive the vax in time you have 40% chance of survival.), attacks the nervous system, and it's zoonotic.
>>
>>153361984
I like that theory. Also would explain why he was so set on killing his host. He was built and designed for it.
>>
>>153361886
I remember those old Warner Bros. DVD cases, they were cool
>>
>>153363242
You can't get rabies from eating a boiled egg that fell in monkey shit though.

>Farrelly Brothers movie
They had no involvement in the animated segments at all. They just got top billing as directors for doing the live-action parts. It's not their movie.

>Thrax was just one dude going from Human to Human wrecking shit.
That's good and all, but they missed that Thrax is supposed to be invading Franks cells and assimilating them to make copies of himself as well as kill him.
>>
>>153362063
He's a super engineered form of anthrax made in a lab
>>
He never even got his action figure
>>
>>153361840
A really dumb virus with a really small chance of becoming an epidemic because he kills his victims too fast. Thats why Ebola is also ironically really bad at spreading around despite killing people in horrifying ways.
>>
>>153361687
Well he did appear in that one Youtube video where he killed Jane from Tarzan and Amelia from Treasure Planet
>>
>>153361687
Osmosis Jones in general is like watching two different movies at the same time. You've got the painfully unfunny and gross live action scenes and the actually decent buddy cop parody animated scenes.

Psychopath paid by big pharma to create a new plague so they can sell a cure
He demands more money after the cure they got fails to work
He also threatens to reveal their dealings
Big pharma sends in two dudes to take him out and get the sample back wait this is just resident evil but without zombie
Yeah make Thrax a resident evil villain
>>
>>153366103
Iirc he ate an oyster that was some kid's science project

they shouldn't have canned the merch, though it might have been inevitable since trendmasters was already going under

A pussy ass bitch cured by some over the counter throat medication.

If only the live action segments was handle better because if it had, the movie would have been sucessful.
>>
It's a testament to Brad Bird's talent that he was able to make a movie as good as The Iron Giant in such a corporate studio like Warner Bros Feature Animation

Frank is such a dumb slob, you almost wouldn't care if he lives or dies if not for his daughter.
The movie even makes a point of having Thrax threaten to infect his daughter.

>Cats Don't Dance
>Quest For Camelot
>Osmosis Jones
Warner somehow made three mediocre films with surprisingly fun villains in such a short span of time. (Cats and Osmosis were a lot better than Camelot at least)
>>
>>153361687
so did he go to the egg from the floor or the monkey? if it's the latter then that monkey's immune system must've been wild, no wonder why Thrax bailed
>>
>>153372655
Cats Don't Dance was a Turner production. WB didn't get involved until they merged with Turner in late 95

It was cool to hear Laurence Fishburne in Transformers One. Wish he did more voice acting.

people, me included, always forget William Shatner was in this movie and not in a very minor role either

What TOS actors get remembered for being in anything other than TOS? Anyway, Bill is kind of shitty at voice roles
