What I assume makes those projects possible is that it is individuals collaborating to create short segments stitched together, whereas /co/ is attempting (has attempted) a larger 10-15 minute animation which needs way more focus.Maybe it would be more realistic to follow in the steps of /v/ and /mlp/ and create an animation anthology composed of 1 to 3 minute shorts. At least then, anons could put their ideas out there.

And you can't do that in an anonymous committee./co/s best bet would be making a comic anthology, as you would only need 1 to 3 people working together per comic on that, but that has also been attempted and falls apart quickly. Part of it comes down to quality control too, where you need someone to take charge and give the green light to people "audition" to continue.
