New pilot coming soon starring Zach Hadel.
Creator is streaming the animation process which is neat
Here's the original trailer

Are you excited, /co/?
>>
>>153364578
Looks kinda gay
>>
>>153364578
This dude is totally cracking under pressure. You can tell Zach was molesting him BTS, that's how he got the job so quick.
>>
>>153364578
I swear to God animators have lost all sense of creativity. When Steven universe came out everyone was trying to make that again and you saw a flood of these shows that were exactly rip-offs and now we're going through the smiling friends ripoffs. And yeah I'm aware of where this comes from but you can see why they walked away they didn't want to end up like Rick and Morty with the endless slop. At least an anime they follow trends but there's so many different genres that the coffees aren't as noticeable like when the Simpsons came out everyone made their own and it's just this endless cycle in the west of repeating the same tropes and the same story lines over and over and over again
>>
>>153364578
What is it about this animation in particular that anons dislike so much, hell, people here don't even seem to like the animator himself
>>
>>153365429
/co/ hates 90% of indie cartoons
>>
>>153365429
He got a job working on my favorite show at 19. That alone makes me a little peeved
>>
Proud of John K for finally making that George Liquor cartoon
>>
>>153365489
quit being a whiny little faggot and judge something by what it is, not by your own personal grudges and jealousy
>>
>>153365521
I said a little peeved, the cartoon looks alright
>>
>>153365447
Serious question
Why don't some of us get together and make our own indie cartoon? Reject the mainstream shit coming out and make what we truly want to see.
I know damn well we have a few drawfags and animationfags here. It can't be that difficult to pull off, can it?
>>
>>153365555
/co/ has already tried that several times and it always results in failure. Anonymous boards are not ideal for a long-term project like a cartoon.
>>
>>153365555
Like cartoon YouTube critics, anons here are even less skilled than the animators they bitch about

This is different, they dont erase the overlapping eyeball lines

There was a project being worked on a few years ago called 'The Fagtitiously Retarded Fagntics of Blimbo and His Friend'. I remember some animation got finished, but it was mostly comics and concept art of the characters being produced in threads. Still nice, but not really a full animation.

>>153365583
If I'm not mistaken, /v/ hosts and produces musicals now and again, and /mlp/ has things like 'Ponies the Anthology'. What I assume makes those projects possible is that it is individuals collaborating to create short segments stitched together, whereas /co/ is attempting (has attempted) a larger 10-15 minute animation which needs way more focus.

Maybe it would be more realistic to follow in the steps of /v/ and /mlp/ and create an animation anthology composed of 1 to 3 minute shorts. At least then, anons could put their ideas out there.
>>
>>153364578
I'm really hoping that I will be pleasantly surprised.
>>
>>153365555
4chan IS mainstream, dummy
we also collectively have a crab-in-bucket mentality so only a few of us would actually get stuff done and then that 1% of talented people would revise history and said 4chan had nothing to do with it

>Maybe it would be more realistic to follow in the steps of /v/ and /mlp/ and create an animation anthology composed of 1 to 3 minute shorts
That actually sounds really neat and I'd love to see that.
also nice trips

fuck i was just thinking about this recently. i even made a character for it (pic related). i genuinely still wanna see it made into something.
>>
>>153365086
>but there's so many different genres
You had me up until here, pretty much 70% of any season in the last five years has been nothing but generic Isekai trash.
>>
>>153365555
/co/ is by far the most untalented board on the site, everyone here fucking sucks so bad.
>>
>>153364578
I don't get the premise. A electrical company but they're robots but the robots can't be seen and supposedly the job is super difficult or something? Huh? Guh?
>>
>>153368733
>/pol/ has made a cartoon while /co/ couldn't
sad!
>>
Bump for blimbo
>>
>>153365555
wasted quads
anyway no making shit like cartoons is nowhere near as easy to do than making videogames or music like /v/ does
>>
>>153365555
Too many cooks problem. The autists will always try to force in their ideas, and you just end up with a random mess that nobody has the passion left to finish.
Showrunners exist for a reason. You need a head to call the shots and make the decisions for everyone to get behind. And you can't do that in an anonymous committee.

/co/s best bet would be making a comic anthology, as you would only need 1 to 3 people working together per comic on that, but that has also been attempted and falls apart quickly. Part of it comes down to quality control too, where you need someone to take charge and give the green light to people "audition" to continue.

>starring Zach Hadel.
This means nothing nowadays. Have you seen the shit Zach has been with?
>>
>>153367253
It could be like Great: The Show but with way more barely disguised fetishes.
>>
>>153366457
>4chan IS mainstream, dummy
What a disaster for the human species that has been.
>>
>>153366000
>>153367253
1-3 minutes is too much. Go shorter: 10-30 seconds. Think of a story or skit you can tell in a short timeframe and then go from there.
>>
>>153368725
Actually, that's more 50%, and it's split between isekai or medieval fantasy; at least 20-25% is shitty high school dramas, 10-15% generic action series set either in modern times, a video game or the future and maybe 10% is actually anything anyone wants (and occasionally overlapping with any of the previous categories).
>>
>>153365555
>5555
/co/ doesn’t respect each other enough to make something together.
>>
>>153374477
How about 30 seconds minimum, 2 minutes maximum? That's like a nice middle ground.
>>
>>153364578
Is that the guy from the "get out of my car" animation?
