What would have been more interesting for me would be to see the kids as adults, if they've achieved their dreams, if they repeat the same mistakes of their parents, and those things can be tackled with a complexity and maturity appropriate to its now much older fans. Nothing edgy, the tone doesn't need to change, but it can broach topics that it couldn't have before, and that's one way to make something feel fresh again.
