No, but Goat is better than Zootopia 2 in that, while being a tiktok movie, it has two main leads that are somewhat decent, which, alone, Is enough to get through the story.Also, the action and mayhem work in its favor most of the time, and you can somewhat get involved in the plot. The designs work are a lot better than one might think within the context of the movie, and some jokes DO Land.Unfortunately, the bar Is very low, so don't walk in expecting a master piece. It's still full of stupid gross out humor, and the rhyno girls and Komodo are unbearable.

Daisy like Zootopia, ends with the characters overtly dismantling the prejudice sport by having it renamed and changed. Daisy also was missing large portions of its story.In contrast, GOAT is a lot more cynical and static; Will playing Roarball was a gimmick he was able to spin into something more, while people actually believed in Daisy's abilities. Likewise the sport wasn't really changed by Will's involvement, he just improved the perception of his home town by getting it a win. Nobody gets arrested and arguably the villain wins in GOAT, even if it's in the short term.

"Oh boy, a Zootopia movie about birds would be amazing!" to which I ask, was Zootopia 2 about reptiles? They are in a few scenes but the vast majority of the film is a retread of the first one's beats and I'm pretty sure most of the assets from the first movie were reused except for the reptiles and marsh market characters. The characters didn't go to Reptile Land or anything out there like that, and Gary was hardly utilized and had almost no character to him despite being marketed as being part of a trio with Nick and Judy. I suspect Zootopia 3 will be likewise just as unambitious with what it does with birds. To me it's as silly as going "oh boy, I can't wait for Shapes 3! They're finally gong to add triangles, which are my favorite shape!"

It's crazy how far Disney prestige branding can take a movie.It's a little unfortunate that as middling as this movie was, it will probably never be given the time of day because Zootpoia but black renders it as a movie deserving of derision on those merits alone. Animation was good, in fact I wish there was more focus on the on the court playing, the story wasn't bad just extremely predictable, and the jokes range from your average kids movie groans to wry chuckle worthy. If I had to give advice on the movie it's that rather than focus on the humor to sell the movie to kids, they probably would've been better served laying into the hype. Kids seem to love hype and peak and aura these days so move of that shit might've elevated it a bit.
