>>153387948Having a panel with CN and HBO Max is a big sign of good things, as the problem for so long has been that WB left Villainous on ice, forcing them to do a Patreon and make their own miniseries on their YouTube channel. Alan Ituriel owns the IP, but WB owns the show and the episodes they've produced, and WB refused to do anything with it after S1 dropped. This is the first time they've acknowledged Villainous officially in a while, so we really might finally get the show's return. However, I don't know how important CCXP is that they would make such a huge announcement there instead of other places. So far, I haven't heard any big news from other IPs at that event, so I don't know if that's the place to do it. But the fact that there's an official presence from CN and HBO Max, and it's not just Alan's company or the Penguin book studios proves this is more than just the books they've been doing for years to stall time. We'll have to see what happens.There's always the possibility they announce they will drop the already finished episodes on HBO Max, but that is it, and Villainous will continue independently under Alan's own company. However, I don't think WB is the type of company to proudly announce to a group of people a show's cancellation, especially when the IP is owned by someone else who can take it to another studio, so they might stick with Alan for a while longer.
