would you say the landscape of western (mostly North american) animation has improved or worsened with the rise of streaming? 10 years ago it seemed like you either got teen titans go aimed at catching kids short attention span or rick and morty/family guy humor aimed at adults, with networks not wanting anything else.
>>153389469i am just going to say i suspect the reason Treasure Planet and 2d animation was stopped just because it made pirates look cool and piracy is no no for streaming future.
>>153389469That drawing on the left doesn't look good either, wtf is that
>>153389933One of those retards with absolutely no knowledge of cartoons besides watching them who thinks the only reason he doesn't get to make cartoons is because he is too good likely
The main issue is that most creatives are self centered jackasses surrounded by other jackasses who tell them their project is good when in reality it isn't. It's this toxic positivity that's ruining shit and creators then wonder why their show gets canceled after 1 or 2 seasons. Can't force people to watch garbage, you can yell at the consumers all you want calling them racist or sexist isn't gonna force people to watch your product.
>>153389469i think streaming services are a lot more open to giving animated shows from nobodies a shot these days, but animated movies are still basically relegated to being aimed at kids exclusively outside of... i dont know the DC animated films and the avatar movie coming out.
