Was it a good design for his human form?
>>153394898Nobody care about the prince. Girls always prefer the beast. It's not exclusive for the Disney adaptation
>>153394898>Prince got uglier when he became humankek
>>153394898He should have a beard.
Absolutely not. I thought he turned into a woman until I heard his voice.
>>153396671>I thought he turned into a woman until I heard his voice. That would be awkward but it could happen these days with all the tumblr shit on animation
>>153394898Yes, but it would be better with more sex appeal.
>>153394898It was fine. Had he kept the same voice as the beast no one would even call it a downgrade.
>>153394898Disney's just kind of always been bad at designing human men in general.
>>153394898the dick sucking lips don't help.
>>153394898Belle's face is unintentionally what everyone else felt when seeing him as a human.
>The moral is that what matter is the inner beauty>Women complain for decades about the beast being hotter than the prince
>>153397175Just as beautiful on the inside but not as beautiful on the outside.
The real problem is Disney made the beast ugly-cute rather than ugly-ugly. I guess they wanted to sell plushies and dolls. The only way girls would prefer the prince is that they made the Beast into a grotesque freak like Panna a Netvorhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kT_cZUri860
>>153397142She was happy for him anon, just surprised at first.
>>153397286>Disney made the beast ugly-cuteI was thinking he was more ugly-majestic than anything.Kinda like a lion.>I guess they wanted to sell plushies and dolls.Movies like these can't ever have an actually ugly character because part of the point is to make an appealing design for the kids at home, no one would want to even look at him if he was actually ugly ugly, kids might even be scared.Sure, if the movie goes out of his way to soften him, that could not be a problem, but my point is that Disney could never truly make an ugly ugly character if they wanted to make a movie that sold, that's why other "ugly" characters like Quasimodo are also designed with a certain ugly cute factor.
>>153397299The keyword is """unintentional"""" anon
I for one never thought he looked bad.I think part of the reason people gravitate more towards the beast design, besides monster fucking obviously, is that we just spent a whole ass movie being endeared to the Beast design, we end up really liking the guy just as he is, a big monster guy that isn't actually so bad, so once the Beast is replaced with the Prince, we're all kinda just missing the Beast.I'm sure the Prince design would have more fans if the movie spent some more time with it and let him be actually expressive so the audience could be endeared to it as well.
>>153397175I can't unsee the Bart Simpson animation smear meme.
She wanted the knot
>>153394898The fact that he kind of looks like a doofus works, because the Beast is actually a huge goober and only the fact that he looks like a huge scarry beast and his tantrums destroy entire rooms because of his physical strength distracts people that he's been cursed since he was a child and is now only barely an adult who has genuinely no idea how to just talk to be people. He's not a tortured hottie bad boy, he's a dweeb.
>>153394898
It's fine, but everyone else has explained why it doesn't feel like a reward for being loved for what's on the inside. The "true" outside isn't any more handsome than the lion man walking on two feet in 1700s French couture.

>>153397175Women? Acting hypocritically? Imagine my shock.
Belle doesn't even use his actual name and I'm supposed to think she's in love with him?
>>153401975Yeah, if she loved him she should have called him "Adam, Prince of France, defender of the secrets of Castle... what's it called?"
Disney was good at kiss scenes back then
>>153394898He should be a greasy looking middle aged man such as myself.

>>153394898Considering Belle's immediate reaction, no.I love how universal the consensus is that "Yeah nah, he was way hotter as a beast.". That's hilarious.
>>153394898Depends.It's good in the sense that since his human form is based on his beast form, he's easily recognizable as being the human version of the character we've spent the whole movie with. It's bad in the sense that since his human form is based on his beast form, he naturally ends up with traits that can feel weird and off putting on a human.
>>153406599Her immediate reaction was surprise anon, she didn't think>oh man, i really thought you looked better as a beastCome on now.
>>153394898I wonder how many stories there are where he stays a beast and she's perfectly fine with it. Knowing women there has to be plenty of novels that are repurposed Beauty and the Beast fanfics with long drawn out romance and plenty of physical dominance culminating in several pages of intense and detailed sex.
