>>153412115If he didnt his cock would pierce the fabric and those are federal pantsThey will throw you into guantamo if you ruin them
>>153412094It was terrible in a funny and memeable way, and it came at a time when people treated Nolan as the second coming of Jesus and thought he could do no wrong with Batman
>>153412094because retards just kept repeating it and forced it into a meme. The cinema equivalent of sneed
It was the biggest scene since the silent era
>>153415595For you
All jokes aside this movie really is more bad than good
>>153412094You just had to be there...
>>153415580>>153415584This meme literally bent reality tho. Im not joking

>>153412094Have you seen it? Just look at Bane in this. He’s a big guy.
>>153412094>>153412115>>153412129>>153413452Was this meme made out of mockery because the film was shit or because people actually thought the scene was good and had fun mocking it anyways?
>>153412094It was extremely Baneful4U
>>153412094/co?/
>>153412094because memes aside they blew half the movie's budget on a scene that was just awkward and confusing for most audiences
>>153412094Remind me what this is again? Is this Jumanji?
Imagine this scene with Absolute Bane.
>>153412115The fire rises.
>>153412129SHANSHA NO
>>153412094
>>153418007It was made because the scene is awkwardly acted with an absurd script but filmed with incredible self-seriousness. It's bad, but FUN bad. And it gained steam as a meme due to individual lines being very quotable, the faggot 4chan staff trying to kill the meme, real life "meme magic" (coincidental plane crash), and /tv/ having an opportunity to crash and ruin an AMA involving Tom Hardy, where a reddit mod impotently threatened 4chan and Hardy answered what he meant by "for you," an oft-debated part of the script (in half-seriousness at best).

>>153418158>You look like you could take pain, after all you have lots of gain>What you say is apparently true, but I meant the pain was for you
>>153412094Because it's hilarious and terrible? And 'big guy, for you' is the type of contextless, spammable phrase that 4chan loves
>>153412094Because it was ridiculous. >No real CIA agent would out themselves by introducing themselves as CIA. >CIA guy loads an important package (the doctor guy) on the same plane as a bunch of guys he knows are connected to a dangerous terrorist organization because he was too cheap to get a second transport>Big guy for you>CIA guy's pilot was completely unaware of the much bigger aircraft flying above them and took no kind of evasive action.>They do a blood transfer from the doctor to the spare body they brought with them even though that's not how they identify bodies in a plane crash. They also left the spare body in a body bag because Bane assumed investigators would go as far as doing a blood DNA test, but not question why the doctor would be in a body bag with two sets of DNA.>Bane kills off one of his own guys for the dumbest reason.
>>153412094Retard here, I actually have no idea what's supposed to be happening in the entire scene, can someone run it through me?
>>153418193Don't forget Bane's ridiculous voice. We take it for granted now, but its hard to overstate how weird and jarring it was when we first heard it, and while by he end of the movie we might be used to it this is the very first scene of the film so the audience reaction is still at maximum "...the fuck is that accent?" which makes every other aspect of the scene that much more silly.
>>153418130YOU LOOK LIKE A BIG COURIER.
>>153418007This >>153418120 plus Bane's voice does not fit the character at all. I don't think the meme would have even taken off if he sounded more threatening.
I still had saved when in /co/ or /tv/ we ploted 7 seven seasons with TDKR 2012 characteres with bane and cia guy as main characters and supporters were other batman villains and gordon, really funny thread maybe it is still on archive must be from 2012.
>>153412094It was interesting (for me) to finally see this after all the memeing and all the quotes are just in that opening part.
>>153412094Nolan tried to create tension and mystery, but it just comes off as a series of absurdities.A needlessly visible daylight secret extraction, convoluted intimidation play mid-transit instead of beforehand, grandiose speeches and gestures by the agent and Bane for seemingly no reason. And to be clear, not the actors, the characters. They're just hamming it up for each other unprompted. It's just a surreal scenario before the Batman movie begins.
>>153412115Power stance.

>>153412094the ethos of the scene is incredibly "anime" very little to no insincerity
