Masterpiece
DreamWorks executives had no input on this movie, unlike with Chicken Run and Flushed Away

To this day, it is a challenge getting the original version with Gromit growing a MARROW (large zuccini for those outside of UK). Americans redubbed it as "melon". The nordic and japanese Blurays have the correct dub, while most others use the american change. My source if Bluray.com and those fuckers have very high standards for what their releases.

>>153419875Makes me laugh every time
>>153421110Wallace & Gromit remains the UK's greatest export
>>153422518You sure it's not the many many many rock bands?
>>153418960Honestly dreamworks should've kept out of this project and just let aardman do their own thing.
>>153422671Said rock bands come second to Wallace & Gromit.
>>153426842Chee(se) to that!
>>153426230Gromit may just be the must OP cartoon character ever conceived
>>153428598Well, TECHNICALLY that would be the Warner Siblings. Unless you specifically mean "born without haxx powers".
The game is not a masterpiece, but still VERY good for something licensed. And instead of being a worse version of the movie with mediocre gameplay, it does its own thing.
>>153418774I agree, a yearly watch for me
>>153418960So?
Gromit! I think that tree just spoke VEE-IT-MEESE!
>>153418960Didn’t Katzenberg want to recast Wallace to appeal to Americans? I know this wasn’t going to work because not only Aardman hated the idea but W&G had already gotten some notoriety in the US thanks to VHS which would lead to confusion if the recast came through.
>>153429708Project Zoo was the superior game.
>>153430589Wouldn't surprise me. They were originally going to cast Tom Hanks or whoever for Optimus in the first live-action Transformers, and the backlash led to them bringing in Peter Cullen because someone had the brains to recognize his voice is too iconic to replace, especially for what was then the very first live-action work for the franchise.
>>153419845The brits should just speak normal english (US) rather than their silly language
Wrong Trousers = Close Shave > Curse of the wererabbit > vengeance most fowl > a grand day out > a matter of loaf and deathNone of them are bad btw.
>>153430973Are you salty about Loaf & Death implying the Tottington affair didn't work out? I wouldn't blame you.
>>153431054Nah, just didn’t really care for Wallace being a dick to Gromit and the tone seemed kind of off like it’s more dark than usual. But like I said it’s not bad, just the weakest.
>>153431742Wensleydale?...Stilton?
>>153431784Also the villain goes to heaven...what the hell.
>>153431784That's like 1/2 of Wrong Trousers, being a dick to your dog.
>>153431784Wallace being blissfully unaware of Gromit's feelings is like half of every W&G feature.I do agree about Loaf and Death though. Something is off about it. Maybe Aardman were too mentally in Shaun the Sheep territory at the time.I also didn't like how they did the Wallace trying to find a girlfriend storyline, three times in a row (he belongs with Wendolene, anyway).
>>153433003Nick Park probably secretly hates his own creation.
>>153433003I think Loaf and Death was more a consequence of Aardman's split from DreamWorks and its slightly edgier humor. Arthur Christmas is way more tame by comparison
>>153434403where are his nipples
>>153434979Lost to the bri'ish culture of modesty.
>>153435006>modestyTell that to the slags with Pollard ponytails and loose trackies on.

>>153428598Would they be good friends?
>>153440447Yes. Any more questions?
>>153440615Can I borrow a dollar?
>>153440754No. My rleigion prohibits me from giving anons money.
>>153440869How about fifteen quid?
>>153442095Okay, but in Gromitcoin only.
>>153419875I preferred his other Were-Rabbit video personally.https://youtube.com/watch?v=Y30qnY7Nfqg&ra=m
>>153442267The rabbits are your problem then!
>>153440447I once did a doodle in one of my old sketchbooks where Wallace called Kim Possible to help take down Feathers McGraw. W&G crossovers are incredibly bonkers.
>>153443679Well, now you know that old drawing cannot possibly be canon. Cause the movie exists.
>>153439401PS2 graphics make me hella nostalgic, man...
>>153443720I was very broken up about it, believe me
>>153426230How did they shoot this scene in stop motion? How did they emulate the motion blur?
>>153437770so cool!

>>153445465>In order to achieve the frenetic chase effect, the camera filming the action was attached to the train. Whenever the train needed to move, Riddett or Oliver would push the camera by hand, about three inches at a time. When they did so, the camera — mounted on a crane and running along its own tracks — would either push the train from the back with a rod or pull it from the front with a thread.>Initially, says Oliver, they thought they would run the train at the equivalent of 60 mph. After various experiments, they discovered this looked “very ponderous.” In the end, the train travels at the equivalent of 300 mph — or 10 centimeters per frame. This meant they suddenly needed a lot more set to play with.>Lewis built a set that was about 15 feet long with a back wall that needed to match Wallace and Gromit's living room. Like the carpet, some of the wallpaper was hand-painted — “It was a beautiful thing,” says art director Yvonne Fox — but most of it was photocopied. This was because, as Oliver says, “the background is so blurred it barely registers.” When the action pauses and the background comes into focus, however, everything on camera is handmade and hand-painted.>The camera's view would be deliberately obscured by a sofa each time the team ran out of set, which was every 1.5 seconds or so. The team would then pick up the sofa and place it back at the beginning of the set, rearrange the furniture, and the sequence would start all over again. “It is very, very simply done,” says Oliver of a process that could barely be more complicated.neat
>>153445465Hey thanks
>>153418774This just made me remember the were-chicken episode of ghost busters Man, that gave me night terrors.
>>153446453Did you know you fight were-chickens in the videogame?
