Have them do wacky things like the boss wanting them to sell ice cream in winter, a rival ice cream or some other street food going into their turf etc. From there you explore their personalities and relationships and then maybe you get a decent 2-3 season series.Kind of want porn of Daisy so that people get upset since she's only 17.

I'm convinced it all started when someone decided to dress up as a nerdy character from an 80s movie for a Halloween party, everyone thought it was hilarious, and then they started doing it all the time. But for awhile, looking like a loser from the 80s was super popular and that kind of morphed into looking like a "party guy" from the 80s. It was always fucking stupid, but at least most people have moved on. However, some übertards haven't gotten the memo that it's over yet (or made this stupid look the sum total of their identity) so they keep it up. Meat Canyon has the same thing going on with his disgusting curly mullet. It fucking sucks. For a period of like 10-15 years, it was REALLY hard to find any casual button down shirts that didn't have lobsters or anchors or hotdogs all over them like it was taken from the closet of Screech from Saved by the Bell. Then there was the whole period where guys were wearing Hawaiian shirts like they just worked a shift at Trader Joes.
