You are allowed to be in charge of one of these shows and are tasked to make it for a boy demographic. If it already appeals to boys, what would you do to improve on it?

You have full rein to change things and remove some stuff. How would you make the shows better, anon?

Doesn't even need to be just these shows. It can be other shows that were either mishandled or failed.

(Added in two different shows.)

>Steven Universe
Steven being such a beta faggot is unfortunately integral to a lot of the story arcs. The entire idea of the show is that he's the only person really trying to make peace with every incoming threat, whether that's the logical thing to do or not. If Steven had a bit more testosterone and a bit less priss, he'd probably be siding with Bismuth on shattering the diamonds, which would become contradictory with the intents of Sugar & the Crewniverse.
The actual way to improve the show is to either fully excise Townie nonsense and make Steven's disconnect from Humanity take up the space that would be emptied out, or to make the Crystal Gems' presence in Beach City more prominent: they've been there since colonial times, it's so lame that they just stay in the giant fuckoff temple all day long. Oh, and make the boarders stick to a model sheet when it comes to sizes while still allowing them to stylize within their limits.
>OKKO
I didn't watch this as closely as I did SU because I had graduated High School by the time it was on the air. From what bits & pieces I've seen, the hate it gets on here is overblown. It appeals to boys just fine, and the "off-model" moments are usually there for emphasis rather than just characters randomly turning into midgets between shots. I do remember liking the pilot a little more since it was more grounded, but I felt the same way about SU's pilot and the actual series was good for what it was in the end.

>The Owl House
It's full of enough action & weird magic to appeal to boys. The problem with it was the glacial pacing the first season moved at and the sudden breakneck speed of the second season, the latter of which was only caused because it came down the pipeline that s1 under-performed so s2 would be the last, putting Dana under pressure to try and actually tell her story. The irony is that if she had been moving along at a better pace from the beginning, so that the over-arcing story were more obvious from the get-go, it would've gotten more traction initially and she probably would've gotten her 2-3 extra seasons that ended up being truncated into the finale trilogy. So the way to fix the show is to condense the first 2 seasons together, mixing the slice of life stuff in BETWEEN the lore episodes so that there's engagement for both the narrative and the characters. Pretty much follow the Amphibia model, you can even have your half-season on Earth that got turned into a montage at the very start of "Thanks to Them".
Also add a subplot where Luz has a small crush on Hunter that leads to her bisexual awakening and has her worried about emotionally cheating on Amity, but as she gets to know him better she gets over it (the worries, not the crush) and is comfortable with just being friends with a hot guy.

>Star vs the Forces of Evil
Have it actually be about Star fighting the Forces of Evil instead of relationshit drama. Starco should've never existed, outright. Never entertain the notion of them being interested in eachother in any way. It is so unimaginably mind-numbing and retroactively garbage that the show cannot survive in any form if it's allowed the smallest picosecond of attention.
Go big on the Magic. Make Jackie a secret mermaid princess like she was hinted to be; have Starfan13 meet Glossaryck and turn into a better expert on magic than him; introduce the motivations of the monsters sooner and have it be a morally grey situation where it's unclear if the Butterfly monarchy really deserves the power it has, but have that be the limit of it, don't extend it to the idea that magic needs to DIE to save reality; ToffeeMoon arranged marriage gone sour backstory instead of the NOTHING we got; Marco's friends remain characters in the same way Steve's friends from American Dad do; turn Tom into a Robbie Valentino archetype.
I don't know where to end with this shit, but ANYTHING is better than what the show BECAME.
>MGDD
Haven't watched it, heard it's okay.

SU
Make Steve a girl, connie a guy, tone down faggotry, give the gems a nemesis, remove even basic sexuality from gems and make them aesexual.

Townie stuff is okay, space stuff play it up more.

Oh ko
Lean into action more, get a GOOD artist in the series, give ok both parents, Enid is downplayed heavily in favor of kids his own age and adventure stories.

Owl House
Other then Dana in a Rapunzel outfit bouncing on my dick?
Luz is more tomboy less baby dyke. More emphasis on magic and school life.
She and amity are frenemies and she has a crush on a guy. Less witch craft more dnd with harry potter mixed with magical girl.

Moongirl
No faggotry or special race episodes. Double doen on cute slightly autistic girl scientist adventures. Running gag where she has a friendly rivalry with Valeria Richard's.

Star VS
Remove homo, double down on relationship stuff and magic. Her and Marco would mirror Jennie and Major from I dream of Gennie.
High energy goofy cute magical girl with low energy alpha male nonchalant guy.

Also more star r34 bait.

1. Get rid of the LGBTQ nonsense, shit was never needed to begin with, and only made things harder to market the show and just attracted wierdos. Something like this should not be shown to kids, period.

2. 80% of beach city characters were a waste of screen time and should have been meant for like important characters or more aliens.

3. Crystal Gems should have way more focus in the story and have them actually fight monsters and more alien beings.

4. Probably keep Steven into a sidekick or a Kid Gohan-like role. Basically, make him into an inexperienced character who has to slowly gain experience to be an effective help for the crystal gems.

5. Get rid of the melodrama and actually have real tension.

6. Make some of the Gems have physically imposing or cool designs in the picrel.

7. SU needs to focus mostly on adventures instead of taking 10 episodes to actually have any progress for the story.

8. Having the characters actually travel in different planets instead of being stuck in Beach City for so long.

9. Worse thing this show ever did was not show more alien species like lion or even more species at that.

10. Remove the sing-alongs and just add in decent songs at the very least.

11. Show needed more fusions and possibly more unique abilities.

>the Owl House
Make a sequel series based on MoringMark's comics featuring Luz and Amity's daughter with several episodes being animated versions of the story arcs featuring said daughter ( Grom Factor) with the Boiling Isles and the rest of the Demon Realm having and gaining motorised transport (like these type of cars seen here) that are powered by most liquids even though most of the witches will still likely use they're Palisman to get around.
>>
>>153421995
>should not be shown to kids, period.
I think it is dangerous for the Gems to use weapons, we shouldn't allow kids to see violence as a solution to their problems.
>>
>>153420862
Cancel them all before they had a chance to air and hire some Indian guy to make whatever retarded garbage he wants
>>
>>153420862
>toh

Either make it so Luz is a very dumb loser that has problems connecting with people and keep it through the Boiling Isles or totally remove that idea, introduce Hunter a lot sooner, keep Amity a rival for longer, perhaps even up until third season, remove all the faggotry, the flags, keep Eda's whole deal about money and trying to scam people a more funny exposure to some undesirable people, the message is that people who try to scam are not meant to be trusted, not the other way around of "hey maybe they have feelings too", no they don't! Remove the nigger or make him gayer than he already wasa full out of the closet fruity black guy, make Borscha a better and more consistent bully, maybe even have her open up to the rest a bit sooner instead of Amity. Odalia did nothing wrong, if anything she doubles down and gains more control quicker IN season 2 after Belos, who also didn't do anything wrong, decides to break the latina. Did I already mentioned Hunter would be sooner? If so, make it so that he knows many things but deep in his subconscious, and that is a key element for Luz and her friends to manage to get the upper hand against Belos in different ocassions. Maybe even have Belos use some similar mind trick of obedience on Amity so she is an infiltrate issue as things develop.

Wouldn't that make things worse. Cant imagine young boys caring about relationship drama that much.

>MGDD

The only thing I change is the mandate that no MCU characters could appear unless their MCU actor played them and it didn't contradict MCU canon.

Lunella should be meeting her universe's version of Spider-Man and fighting her universe's version of Kingpin.

Feige wanted his cake and to eat it too by keeping the "option" to have MGDD be MCU without committing fully to it and it just left a scar the show struggled to overcome, as great as it was.
>>
Hmm, I dunno, maybe do a Devil Dinosaur show with Moon BOY.

Remember him?
>>
>>153420862
Note I haven't watched these shows and I plan on watching them, so there might be a few things I mention that's already in those shows.

>Steven Universe
Oh, boy… Where to begin… First, I'd scrap that art style and replace it with either OG Ben 10, Galaxy High School, Sym-Bionic Titan, MLAATR, or even ATLA. Second, it'd be a tall order, but Steven will need a massive rework to make him far less annoying and an eyesore. Third, I gotta purge all character design inconsistencies, LGBT stuff, signing, and tumblr melodrama. The lore can stay and some multi-part episodes can even lean into that as well as some plot heavy narratives (stuff involving the Diamonds). Some fun adventures on Earth and in space here and a couple occasional self-contained, slice of life episodes there to break up the monotony a bit.

>OK K.O.
I gotta change that art style to look like either OG PPG or Punch Punch Forever. I'd also gut the LGBT stuff and lean into K.O. and crew going on fun, high energy, PPG-style adventures as they strive to becoming heroes. As for that Sonic crosover, I'd make it more than just some out of the blue collab. How about a multi-part episode in which K.O. teams up with Sonic to stop some big threat. All the while, Sonic mentors K.O. on what it takes to be a hero.

>The Owl House
The art style isn't too shabby, but I'd change it to look like KoG anyway. I'd also prune all the LGBT stuff and tweak the show's pacing and animation. I'm fine with the lore, witchcraft, and occult, so all those can stay. I'd double down on the magic school, Eda mentoring Luz, character dynamics, and establishing Belos as the big bad. The third season would get a proper episode count and I'd even consider tweaking Eda and King's designs to be less obvious Ryoko and Cubone expies.

*I don't plan on watching them

>Star vs. the Forces of Evil
I'd change the art style to look like DCSHG. I was shocked by how ugly and cheap SvFoE looked, so a better animation style and Faust's art style can improve its look. I'd ditch that last-minute Jackie has a girlfriend reveal and scrap that "no more magic" ending. I'd make Brittney featured as often as Bonnie from Kim Possible and Mandy from Totally Spies for some added character dynamics between her and Star. For some reason, I'm even open to Star and Marco leaning more into a Lum and Ataru dynamic.

>Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur
I'd keep the art style because its literally the best thing about this show and its the most aesthetically pleasing out of these five shows. I'd ditched the LGBT stuff and race swapping (Beyonder) in a heartbeat, though. I'd lean into character dynamics Lunella, Devil Dinosaur, and friends as well as some fun super heroes stuff without bogging the show down with identity politics like the recent Proud Family revival. Oh, and Coach Greer would still be an antagonistic coach, but that episode would be retooled into her being a Drill Sergeant Nasty trope.

>hating MGDD Beyonder

Beyonder is perfect as a Mok-inspired omnipotent troll that slowly learns to become human, and him having a rivalry with Molecule Man was really entertaining. I doubt he'd be as fun if anyone but Laurence Fischburne voiced him.

Also, the season 2 episode where his powers go on the fritz gives us one of the best emotional moments of the show.
>>
>>153420862
>Owl House
I would just cancel the show and use the fund to make more seasons for Steven Universe and StarVs. Owl House is straight-up unsalvageable garbage.
>>
>>153420862
>Doesn't even need to be just these shows. It can be other shows that were either mishandled or failed.

In case that

>Adventure Time
Scrap all the annoying stuff that happened in later seasons and in Fionna and Cake. Everything from Finn losing an arm to the LGBT stuff and Fionna's mltdown. I'm fine with some multi-part episodes, but Muto and others went way, way overboard for the sake of being edgy and securing their legacies. Actually, I'd rather just continue the tone from the first few seasons with some added narratives here and there to spice things up a bit without doing what Muto and crew did.

>Young Justice
First, season two would build off the momentum of season one without that long of a time skip. I'm cool with expanding the roster, but I'd take a page from Transformers Beast Wars and keep the cast expansions to a minimum. Later seasons would also be retooled to segue into different story arcs better and to prune LGBT stuff and unnecessary race swaps (Halo). Part of me wants to see Young Justice in a slightly different art style that doesn't look as stiff and generic. A cool, stylized art style seems ideal to me even if it's not from Bruce Timm.
>>
>>153429632
It's not so much me hating MGDD Beyonder and more so me being exasperated with writers and producers taking a shortcut to diversity by lazily race swapping characters (obscure or well-known) on a whim (this Beyonder, New 52 Wally, Jim and Barbara Gordon, Tim Drake, Starfire, Blackfire, April O'Neil, Cyclone, MCU Taskmaster, Carrie Kelley, MCU Flash Thompson, Amber from Invincible, etc.). Funny enough, some of the race swaps look like me, but I roll my eyes, call out the obvious pandering, and go "really?" It's especially embarrassing when the Big Two has several diverse characters already in comic books, but some aren't being adapted for TV shows or movies.
>>
>>153430144
>MCU Task master
Correction, this one's a gender swap, but those are as annoying as race swaps.
>>
>>153421102
>or to make the Crystal Gems' presence in Beach City more prominent
So basically the townie stuff from the first season, aka the only time that stuff worked
>>
>>153421395
Everything he said except SF13 becoming a supa powerful mage better than Glossaryck
>>
>>153430411
Yeah, isn't that funny? But I mean even more prominent than that, like institutional things that make the Gems as much a part of Beach City as Mothman is a part of Point Pleasant, y'know? But if Mothman lived on the outskirts of town and had to come down to main street every other week for groceries & smokes.
>>153430450
I meant like as a background gag, not something central to an episode. She has absolutely no magical ability, but she can be an occasional font of knowledge when a plot necessitates it. Turn her fangirl autism into something more practical, but still treat her character as a joke. This would be something established in the second season and then by season 4 or 5 maybe they have an episode where she kicks off the plot by giving really bad advice that SOUNDS well-reasoned, and Star & Marco kick themselves for not vetting it with Glossaryck.
