I thought it was a fun little romp, but I was indeed offended that they went out of their way to have Cromwell be the villain and anachronistically die.
That shit happened like 400 years ago, give it rest.
And also by that belabored juxtaposition, it's kind of set up like the native religion is a gloss for irish catholicism, which in living memory buried brutalized and baby snatched young girls in shallow graves but it gets a pass because they have equated themselves with irish identity I guess.
So that took me out of the film a little.

Once, I was visiting Kilkenny and took pictures by the Wolfwalker Mural and the animation studio despite not being a fan because I vaguely knew about the movie [from here on 4chan] and thought I'd probably like it. I wasn't wrong.

Eventually my friend got Apple+ and I watched it.

I thought it was cute. I liked how the styling made frames look almost like a painting, maybe a woodcut. I wasn't sure if I should categorize this as a "druid" or "werewolf" story. I liked their Sororal relationship and how they became a stepfamily.

It's not my favorite movie ever, but it did get me watching Cartoon Saloon movies on a binge, making me realize that Eddie of the Realms Eternal was a failed pilot of theirs, and convincing me to give My Father's Dragon a chance.
