why are dc comic fans way more prevalent than marvel-comic fans on /co/?
dc has better comics
>>153442671dc tried to cater (and did a good job, fow a while) to older readers with vertigo and wildstorm or whatever. marvel got ruins.
Because DC has more stuff to talk about now and feels less directionless than Marvel in both the comics and film spaceThere's an old saying that Marvel had better movies but DC had better cartoons and guess what topic other than comics this board is for?
>>153442671I'll try to post my favorites from each in a bit.
>>153442671DC comics are kind of decent to good right now. Marvel meanwhile seems to be intentionally driving this shit into the ground.
>>153442671dc goodmarvel bad
>>153442671Are they? Seems like an even split on discussion wether positive or negative really. I'm also excluding Spider-Man and Batman from the equation since those two are dominant in discussion comparatively to the rest of Marvel and DC.
>>153442671Marvel is intentionally burning their own IP in a funeral pyre in hopes of attracting people to the flames. The "make the readers mad" bullshit that Queseda started is too deeply entrenched and editors not giving a fuck because they get paid either way.
Nostalgia for the DCAU and to an extent the 2003 Teen Titans show
>>153444544DC and Marvel take turns doing this, unfortunately. It's a cycle.
>>153442671Because currently people are engaged in hating everything Marvel does. Give it time and soon people will switch to hating DC all the time
