He just came off more as this odd creature seperate from the rest of the world, he was his own race. Although yes it is weird apart from Omi and Jack none of the characters had outlandish skin tones.

I figure eventually the reveal would be Omi was some sort of non-human thing, but in general the show kept seeming like it couldn't tell the lore story it wanted and just had the trappings of one, with weird shit like this. Season 3 in general had a bunch of stuff that felt out of place, evil beans, Shendu's awkward brother, stuff like that.
