I didn't think Duane stunk much. I assumed he finished rotting a long time ago and the new shit Nora is adding would take a least a bit of time. Also poor Jivi if he is the apprentice he going to be butt of some unsavory jokes.

This sequence - especially the second page - has always been just damn near opaque. You could not tell what Duane did! I think it reads better now.>You get a little more height on the printed page, which is handy for adding some breathing room. I'm finding it's also very helpful to just erase some of the background in some panels, so the figure pops better. Also, playing up the pymary colours helps a ton.>Ch10 is really satisfying to go back and edit. There are low points like the above, but there are also some pages in it I'm really proud of. Stockyard's death, Sette and the pain babies, and the latter Duane v Silver fight scenes are pretty strong, I think. Reading through it, I can literally see myself improving page by page. Realistically Nora probably applied some level of preservation as needed but I doubt she cares about the stench at this point. Duane also has to replace his limbs on occasion, so those would provide fresh meat to go rancid.

>>153444766Plods are preferable because they don't actually need meat to run around, we saw earlier that even though Duane is half a skeleton he can flap his skelly limbs around. The problem is more that rot eventually gets tendons and you start to lose bones, and you need human bits to get the free movement effect. If you wired together his bones with first materials I think he'd be able to amble around as a skeleton man
