I know the basic lore of the Hulk but have never dedicated myself to reading the comics aside from a few here and there. Is it a good idea to just jump in to The Immortal Hulk or should I read anything beforehand?
Just jump straight ahead
Immortal Hullk is fine as a starting point. Ewing does reference previous continuity often, but it's just slight references, and if it's important for the story, it's explained
>>153447704I started here and didn't get the hype.
>>153447704You should probably read the many good Hulk comics that don't have trannies in them
>>153449452That's because only the first twenty-five issues are good.
>>153449464Kind of novel to see people still doing this kinda posting. Like the proverbial jap in the jungle unaware the war long since ended. Good luck man, keep at it!
>>153449519>Likes tranny capeshit when non tranny capeshit exists That's weird
>>153449566Yeah, it's much weirder to sorta just roll with the one page out of 3 three years of issues that brings it up than it is to dedicate the next half decade to obsessing over it. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about or explore with a therapist.
>>153449519>satan won get over it christcuck(You)
>>153449608>This much projection over a tranny comic Okay
>>153449519I am an enlightened individual that doesn't call everything he dislikes "tranny". I only use it for actual trannies.
>>153449474What I read wasn't very good. I finished the first trade, skipped to #25, and then I gave up.
>>153449608>the character is only on one pageThank you for confirming that you didn't read it.
>>153449608He keeps doing it in his comics. It always feels shoehorned.
>>153447704I'll try to read this again after I reread Moore's Swamp Thing and Promethea.
>>153449519The fact that you even felt the need to respond
>>153447704It's fine if you're a casual, they do a lot of backfilling.
>>153447704GAAAAAAAAAAY
>>153449519I don't like trannies. If you're a tranny, I don't like you.
I thought it used lore to good effect, but I probably hadn't read half of those Leader appearances before. Jump in wherever.
>>153455135But I want to be your friend...
>>153455135This has been a deeply bizarre crashout man. You should do another dozen posts.
>>153455378>crashoutStop this.
bump, seriously your all ok with this?
>>153457380No. I'm OP and i just wanted to know if a comic about the Hulk was good. I didn't want this to delve into an argument about troons.
>>153457380Okay with what?
Hulk is KINO.
>>153447704just jump into it. it explains anything you'd need to know in the book. then read PKJ's run afterwards for more horror hulk
Read everything before and stop after Peter David's run
>>153447704Just read. Hulk is one of a few comic characters that has more good runs than bad.
>>153461770Do people prefer Hulk to have a normal looking face like that or more of an ape/caveman face? I remember watching Avengers and just not liking the his design in that movie but I feel like I'm seeing him drawn with that distance between nose and upperlip like he has in that movie
>>153461770Tolerated to represent Banner's phases when he thinks he's reconciled himself and he's going to turn it all around to work for him but he's probably just in a manic episode. I don't really like for him to look like a big human.
>>153462076Hulk with a normal face usually means he's Professor Hulk, which is when he has Banner's intelligence in his Hulk form. Most other forms of Hulk have the caveman face.
>>153447704This will be my final post on /co/.How can anyone think that this is scary for real ? How can anyone take seriously a horror book with the Hulk as a supposed to be frightening monster ? How can anyone see the Hulk as frightening for real in this book ?"Ouh, the Hulk is smiling, so unsetlling, this is so scary guys..." why are you lying to yourself like that ?You guys are just forcing onto yourself the new fade there will be in this hivemind of a board, with the blandest, tamest, most classicly safe comic book there can be, while your selective outrage is shitting on Bendis' Superman for things that would be praised if they were written by someone else, but NOOOOOOOOOOOO you have to shit on it even if it's good because the hivemind dictates you to do so !!!No wonder you can't get laid, but guess what ? I got a girlfriend now. For the first time of my life after 24 years I finally got a girlfriend, and all that nerd fuss has become so irritating since.I'm just leaving for good now, I had plenty of fun with that board but I'm done. I wish you to get girlfriends to, maybe it will open your eyes about the hivemind that is destructing your self, but sadly, the hivemind is probably keeping you away from being able to seduce anyone, so you're most likely trapped in a vicious circle, and sadly, there is no Savage Dragon to save you from it. I just hope that this message will maybe help you to think by yourself a bit more and to get a girlfriend to.Enjoy your book.
>>153448361There's a few pages in that Avengers: No Surrender storyline that act as an introduction to it and I don't think it's included in the Immortal Hulk collected editions. These pages mainly walk you through Hulk's many deaths and returns, which is important to the overall story.
