Kyle aside, was his only show any good?
>>153458097It’s the definition of the term “tryhard”. It’s like the show knows what makes a wacky cartoon but doesn’t understand how to make it entertaining.
>>153458097it's one of those "people only remember it for its porn" shows
>>153458097No.
>>153458097THIS WAS THE ONE!
>>153458135This is a good way to describe it. Identity crisis is another. It’s like the show tries to cram in inspiration from>RPG video game elements>anime designs (Slayers specifically)>Animaniacs humor>rubber hose designs, I guess?>the frenetic pacing of Rocky and Bullwinkle, I guess? In a way that does NOT work and feels very half-baked. Kyle seemed more concerned with cramming in references to everything he liked (well, with one glaring omission) than actually making an entertaining show.
>>153458097Didn't he voiced the annoying little dragon. I remember the show vaguely it was not great but it was not as bad as people try to make it out to be it was very mediocre kind of a really basic kid show
>>153458097it was okay as shorts but too fast-paced for full episodes
>>153458097It's too fast paced. Feels like it was made for short attention spans.
>>153458337It was not that fast you never watched the show, the best episodes were the dungeon characters who would talk to each other. It was very boring it wasn't even fast paced I don't even know where you're pulling that from your bunghole that's worth being pulled from
>>153458097stop asking, fuck knuckle.
>>153458097I remember using the CN app to play the game they advertised alot, but the shit didnt even work properly
>>153458282Kyle has always been the sort of guy who likes to pretend he's a diehard fan of things he doesn't even have a wiki skimmer's understanding of. He is, or was, in every possible way, a pathetic poseur.
>>153458097The definition of private trackers of torrent magnet with 600 tarabytes
>>153458391That hit hard man
>>153458097Has this show been completely scrubbed is there any way to actually watch it I can't seem to find it thank you
>>153458135FPBP. It's an ADHD-tier show with a gorillion things happening per 10 seconds but literally none of them are funny or even remotely interesting, like someone wanted to one-up the very first few episodes of Adventure Time in the worst way possible.
>>153458097Really REALLY really fast paced cartoon that looks like an autistic person's idea of a Tex Avery and John K cartoon. Everything bounces from scene to scene and the characters talk super fast. They are constantly doing and saying wacky things but none of it is funny. Again like an autistic person's idea of comedy, they know "Of" jokes but not really how to be funny.
>>153458097All I remember is the episode with them at the pool and getting disappointed that Vambre in swimsuit didn't step on someone
>>153458097It's textbook example of slop.
>>153459410I love how these little kids try to be adults by using words they don't understand to talk about a show they never saw. They just keep repeating memes
>>153458097Egoraptor aside, Kyle was pretty good.
Whatever happened to Kyle anyway?
>>153458097No, It was not. It was not funny and it was pre-tranny internet reddit dork-tier immature.
Witchy Simone was cute.
>>153459470>no argumentIt's slop.
>>153458097The girls were cuteThat's it
>>153460092Caught with CP. Career ended.
>>153460581>Draws cartoony girls>But can only get hard to photos of children lol
>>153458097not really. I thought the idea was fun, but the show itself isn't. It tries to shove too many gags into an 11 minute run time that you can barely even follow what's happening. I'm sure it would have benefited from a full length runtime.

>>153460581The whole show is animated like this, but just look how fucking weightless and slow the animation is. He wanted to make wacky, old-school style cartoons, but his actual style is so lifeless and he clearly never understood how to do squash and stretch cartooning.
>>153462269what about Princess Zange wear an Plastic Man leotard then?
>>153458097I really liked it, I liked the quick humor.

>>153458097Ehh...it's just more Kyle constantly wanting to imitate Weird Al and pretend he is also the random wacky funny man who plays an accordion a lot...while not being very funny at all. But in cartoon format this time.
>>153458097I remember liking it. I like the artstyle and character designs but I feel like the show fit better as shorts/minisodes instead of full episodes (I like the chiller vibes of Prohias's sword reviews).
>warriors vs witches collecting super power swords in a videogame fantasy landI just like it.
>>153458435the episodes are findable. The youtube shorts are unfortunately very likely lost media.
>>153461749Did he ever actually register? Last I heard he was out on probation but wasn't actually on the registry despite supposedly being ordered to by the court.

>>153468729Cool... Awesome...
>>153469372No, begging faggot. That will be all.
>>153458097No. It was trash. Entire series is sensory overlord. Ugly character designs, too fast pacing, etc. Vambre & Prohyas are just cheaper shittier westernize versions of Lina Inverse & Gourry Gabriev. You can tell Kyle took inspiration from Slayers since his earlier concept art shows Vambre AS Lina Inverse in the first drawing. Only redeemable thing that came from this show were the girls. If you can look past the shitty Spumco-influenced beanface rubber hose character designs, you can find a hidden gem. But if you're really in the mood to watch a series that's like Slayers without the slop, then just watch Slayers.
>>153462208Sorry, but you're no Smeet. Get gud first.Learn anatomy & figure drawing so you get better.

>>153458097how does one man fall from grace so hard after his pilot?Did pic related make him go so mad that he ended up making this garbage and lost sense of entertaining cartoon?
Even before the cheese pizza incident he was always a piece of shit even back then.
>>153460581There was potential, but the fact that the characters had massive cankles ruined it
>>153473442I recall years ago people who were still trying to be nice about him still said he was pretty arrogant. Most people that had worked with him claimed he had an annoying arrogant asshole side.
>>153473442I don’t doubt that Kyle is a massive douche, but dealing with autistic retard fanboys on social media sucks ass.
>>153474027I’d heard that about Nico Colaleo who gets confused with Kyle a lot. I wonder if they’re both like that or if this is another case of mistaken identity?
>>153474097The complaints about him are different. Most people claim Kyle is an arrogant douche, but overall they can work with him. He's more annoying for wanting to be taken as the wacky cartoon man since he does not turn that part of his personality off ever. People seem to be more generally annoyed by Nico antics. He is more of a creepy hanger on that tried to add himself into friend groups and sort of creeps people out. he is also very married to the idea that he is a big part of the super elite professional animators community that you wish you were a part of...like him! He's really just a grown dork that desperately wants to sit at the cool kids table then try to lord that over the other dorks.
>>153474097Nico is a more run of the mill clout chasing faggot. He tried to be big and bad during the Thundercats Roar event back in 2019 and fanned the flames turning ti from an annoyance to a huge social media fight in hopes that would make him cool and famous.
>>153459101Ironic as Kyle did make a comic making fun of John K.
>>153473442Reminds me of his old anti-John K comic that had aged so terribly I've just deleted it from my folders. >Depicts John K as a narcissistic asshole who cannot stand anyone looking down on him or his work >Turns out to be a narcissistic asshole himself, all while his own work is just derivative garbage with no influence on other creators >Depicts John K trying to groom a woman who is "a third his age" >Turns out to be a pedophile who cranks it to photos of children who might as well be 1/4 his age if not less I really hope he resurfaces on the internet sooner or later.
the girl pig is kinda cute
>>153475615This one? I didn't hate Frog Raccoon Strawberry.
>>153475709>Yer kind of a jerk, aincha? It's like every of Kyle's accusations is an admission.
>>153474974Which is laughable because Nico essentially edits video. He doesn’t draw. He doesn’t animate. He doesn’t design. He doesn’t storyboard or write. He assembles storyboards into animatics. His expertise is “knows how to operate adobe premier”. That’s all well and good but it’s like being obnoxious about how you contribute to scientific studies and are a super important scientist who has contributed to Nobel prize winning work, but it turns out you’re the guy who staples the papers together.

>>153472995Why on earth would you need to lear anatomy, you absolute ignorant faggot? You're just larping as someone who knows shit about anything art related, like, look at the fucking characters. God, these fucking larpers are getting worse by the second.
>>153458097No. Goes a million miles a minute and the jokes aren't funny. Also, just watch Slayers I dunno.
>>153458097No but the girl was hot
>>153475709This was drawn by kyle?
>>153477290> Why on earth would you need to lear anatomyOof. This explains a lot
>>153476366In fairness, editors are extremely important to a final project. Even if they never touched a pencil or operated the camera, the editor is often what saves the work. Marcia Lucas and Stallone salvaged Star Wars and Rambo First Blood, respectively, in post production and we wouldn't have those classics if they hadn't. I'm trying to defend Nico so much as you can't downplay editing.
>>153472961>if you're really in the mood to watch a series that's like Slayers without the slop, then just watch Slayers.Slayers is honestly the definition of "slop". It was just slop from a different era, which makes it more appealing in current era. If you're a dolt, I mean.
>>153469329https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6cfKUZI3MXfZl5vrYPl7Lm6J-BVdP_mZ
>>153478641Is this actually all of them? Last I heard even Kyle didn't have access to them and was bemoaning the fact that they were likely lost forever.
>>153458097>They said it was annoying and it had too many words
>>153478482Slayers isn't "slop." It's an underground 90s anime gem from a better time. All the turbo normalfags I knew didn't watch the show, let alone talked about it. I was one of the very few who watched it, & that was way back in the 2000s.
>>153475709Say what you will about John K, but at least he didn't make such cringe worthy comics like this. His comics were a whole different level from Kyle. He even gave us fan service with his cartoons.
>>153474996>Jewish cartoonist wants to ruin a good thing from people's childhoodColored me shocked. Well not really.
>>153474097>>153474974Jewish phenotype
>>153474974>he is also very married to the idea that he is a big part of the super elite professional animators community that you wish you were a part of...like him! That is basically the best description of him I have seen. He is really into the concept that there is a super cool closed door Animation Community that he is a part of and everyone else wishes they could join. He desperately wants to be considered a part of some elite group of cool people at the cool table in school. And he likes to pick on up and comers and students about it. That stopped working out for him around 2021 or so when a lot of the nobodies he treated badly started landing jobs too, were rising up, and remember his antics.
>>153475709Kyle's original art style he used on everything was imitating Spumco so much that he just came off as a Ren and Stimpy fanboy. Then he also talks shit about John K so it's confusing.
>>153475709Kyle being a dogshit person and an arrogant jerk does not mean that anything he said here was incorrect. It’s seething whining but that is literally how John K acted and perceived himself. There is no lie here even if it comes across as bitching.
>>153478433I think it's just the weird situation about a guy that wraps his entire personality around>I make cartoons! I am the cartoon man that's a cornerstone of the cartoon making community!!!!When you learn his job is largely sliding things around on a timeline. It's a very technical and basic type of job, that doesn't really warrant an ego about being the biggest mostest popular important member of the coolest club YOU'RE not a part of.
>>153479415>His comicspost some
>>153475709>>153476422A group had taken over this character and were making an animated Racoon Frog Strawberry short when Kyle was arrested, and they had to drop the short and take the total loss on the work.
>>153479514It's always telling that Nico will post pictures of himself with influential industry people he claims are his GOOD friends, but none of those people ever post pictures of themselves with him. It's like everyone in the industry is just being nice by not telling him to fuck off and he mistakenly interprets that as acceptance.

Now you must drive me 4000 miles to get to the Piggies convention that is starting tomorrow
>>153479614Source: Spumco ComicHe made 3 issues.
>>153480022Kyle is so fucking fat I'm surprised he could even stay awake long enough to shit out this lazy-ass drawing. You don't have to be super chiseled to be an animator, but at a certain point simply sitting in a chair and breathing would be work when you're carrying around that much extra heft. A guy that big has to be waking up constantly at night due to sleep apnea. It's also safe to say that Kyle wasn't exactly fueling his body with highly nutritious foods, so the super lazy pitches don't surprise me. It's probably all he could shit out before needing to take another nap. What DOES surprise me is the fact that he somehow had enough energy to run a show which is a notoriously grueling task.
>>153479614>>153480177In an alternative timeline, John K ended up being a very good comic book artist. If you want the sauce, it's here:https://archive.org/details/spumco-comic-books/Comic%20Book%20%231%20%281996%2C%20Dark%20Horse%29/
>>153479541I don't have receipts to back this up, but I'd heard that Kyle desperately wanted to be part of the John K camp and attempted to enter his orbit. At some point John K ended up using some of Kyle's art as an example of what NOT to do on his blog which pissed Kyle off. I think it's entirely possible that Kyle could still admire John K's style and skills while simultaneously being butthurt by the man himself.
>>153475691I'm surprised no one post the actual pig girl that appeared on the show
>>153474018Ghosts don't have that problem
>>153478433>editors are extremely important to a final projectNot in animation. You're using live action as an example for a reason. Live action films are often created on the cutting room floor. They film a ton of shit but can end up completely restructuring the story with cuts. That's because films almost always shoot way more footage than they need and then aggressively cut shit down in post. That's also why films can have multiple releases with extended cuts, director cuts, and even versions of films with alternate endings. Animation is MUCH more planned. Every single fucking frame takes a ton of work (which translates to money and time), so the goal is to try to avoid editing as much as possible. If you're saving an animated project in post-production, someone somewhere has majorly fucked up. As such, animation editors don't enjoy the same sort of status or clout that live action editors do. Nico's most important job is timing out the storyboard frames for the animatic which will end up dictating the timing of each sequence. That can sound like he has more agency than he does. A lot of the timing work is done in the radio play stage where, as the name implies, the audio recordings of the voice actors are edited together into something that resembles a radio show. This is where a lot of the pacing and general flow is figured out. Storyboard artists will plan shots and sequences based on this timing. Nico's job is to take those images and place them on a timeline so people can get a feel for how the proposed shots feel against the audio. It may be requested that he nudge things forwards or backwards to flow better. That's it. There is a modicum of skill involved in getting a feel for how shots flow, but it really doesn't require much expertise that can't be self taught in a weekend and mastered after doing 1 or 2 short student projects.TLDR: You're thinking of live action editing. Animation editing is not nearly as glamorous.
>>153480396>girls>pluralwere there other ankle-less characters on the show or are you saying the entire worth of this show is one throwaway character?
>>153480235Shame the hearts are not kept
>>153480511I always get these girls mixed up with the heartbreakers. A mixture of the two would have been pretty badass. I'd love to see a show about these chicks in a rockband.
>>153478433Comparing an animatic timer to an editor might be reaching a bit here. He times out storyboard shots to keep them within the 11 minute or 22 minute timeframe. And times out dialog shots to make them match up with the recorded sound. That's not quite the same as a film editor taking 30+ hours of raw footage and cutting it into a 2 hour movie. He fixes the storyboard animatic to perfect timing before it is sent off to animation.
>>153480511>>153480573I more disappointed at the fact there isn't any porn of the girls from his comics. They're obscure waifu material
>>153480511Looks like an animated cel. I wish I knew from where.
>>153481385It's a one-off image John drew. This isn't from an actual animation
>>153472961I love Slayers cause theres alot of things i think Anime can never do again when look at it with its high energy and expressions>>153478482Ehhhh
>>153481472Sorry if this is Try which one of the creators apparently hates
>>153476366>He assembles storyboards into animaticsThat's what Nico does for actual work and is how he's able to claim working on mainstream TV productions. All of the peacocking he does about "us industry animators" is more because his show "Too Loud" was technically picked up by DreamWorksTV (though it was only for their youtube channel for 2 months) and he is self-financing Ollie & Scoops. So he considers himself a creator (which he technically is) even if the clout that he banks on is for being the guy who moves images around the timeline in adobe premiere.
>>153458097It was a decent timekiller but forgettable. It wanted to be new and refreshing, but it just felt like a mix of everything other late 2010s CN shows were doing at the time. >The beanmouth 3/4 locked heads and rigged animation >Adventure Time fantasy comedy setting>millennial nostalgia wanking of video games and anime that would make OK KO and Steven Universe blush>Teen Titans Go loud = funny comedyI’ll give it credit it for going for a "brother/sister duo who are chill with each other" dynamic. You don’t see that much in cartoons.
>>153480496Lady Hiss was cute too, but you probably aren't into snakesAll I was saying was that Penny is cute
>>153483126>but you probably aren't into snakesFuck your assumptions
>>153474097This was also the guy who rushed to the internet to publicy break the news when he found out Kyle was arrested. And in his rush to reap the clout for being the guy with the scoop, he also become the source for a lot of misinformation in regards to Kyle's arrest. He later tweeted that it sucks that Kyle getting arrested while being so fat and looking like a creeper was bad for other fat guys who looked like creepers (referring to himself) because he wanted to break the stereotype. On the plus side for Nico, almost nobody outside of /co/ has any fucking idea who he is, so the skeletons in his closet may remain there. Otherwise people might start asking questions about the abundant pictures he posts of himself alluding to his crush on Lisa Simpson.
>>153480456Fair enough.
>>153483665His posts immediately after the arrest were hilarious because it read like a Family Guy sketch. Like Niko was minutes away from forming up a National Association for the Advancement of Creepy Looking Fat Bastards and the advocating for the rights of fellow fat bastards that look an awful lot like >NAACLFB trying to win court battle so that single middle age childless fat guys can indeed sit on a park bench next to a playground and not be implicated!>NAACLFB gained public attention in their battle for middle aged single childless fat guys to be able to freely wander around middle school parking lots
>>153484785Yes, but that was made even funnier because initially he was one of the first to throw Kyle under the bus. He wanted to reap those sweet likes and retweets while throwing out details like the stuff Kyle was looking at was violent. We still don't know if that was the case. The charge was for explicit images that COULD include violent images, but that wasn't confirmation that Kyle's collection DID include violent images. But we could almost see the slow gears of his stupid mind turning in real time and he suddenly realized "oh wait, Kyle LOOKS like a big ol' chomo. Wait, so do I. Ruh roh...Guys, I'm not like him".

They also really liked the ladies, including Morbidia. They drew an amazing Princess Zange piece that I'm not sure I can post here.

>>153458097s'okay
>>153458097Seems weird that Kyle was cooking this show back in high school in the 90s. Every major character is something he doodled in 10th grade, and kept taking jobs and eventually after 20 years worked his way to to finally make a middish show on Cartoon Network that made it a season and a half. Before he was outed as a pedo and ruined forever. What a strange character arc and legacy.

>>153489393The show was canceled well before he was outed. There was a good chunk of time where Kyle was storyboarding on other shows while shitting out countless crappy concepts in the hopes of getting another show.
I’m morbidly curious what Kyle’s day to day looks like now. Did he get a wagie job? What does he do? Does he still draw stupid show concepts with the delusion he can someday make a comeback? Does he just do a lot of drugs now? Did any of his friends or family stick by him or is he completely on his own now?I just can’t imagine losing literally everything that was important to you in life. I can’t imagine getting his rocks off was worth it.
>>153491347I am curious about the ones who aren't in prison because of these things. Like, in prison you're reminded of your situation constantly even at the best of times. But just having destroyed your life and living among mortals, how do you go through your day? Do you find some enjoyment in the things you used to like, like gaming, movies, music etc, or is the loss of your entire social circle always eating at you as you waste away during the day?
