You guys do realize that's more than long enough to complete college and start a career, right? Hell, that's enough time to become a junior partner at a law firm.
That whole "children or career" thing isn't nearly as prominent as people think. I knew a couple in college who got married shortly after graduation, secured their careers by having good internships and balancing their relationship with proactivity in studies and networking, then had a kid once they got stable at a relatively quick rate.
Of course, having upper middle class parents themselves was a major part and gave them a needed financial boost to economically secure themselves for a lot of it, but Tootie's parents seemed pretty financially well off themselves.

So 25 sounds like a perfectly viable age where she managed to land both career and motherhood
