How did he do it?
>>153462655They finally dumped that divorce plotline then slowly phased out him being a cowardly parasite leeching off the family, so now he's just a simple, kinda dumb househusband doing his best and people find that endearing.
>>153462655mediocre people related to him
>>153462655Built for Jessica.Didn’t she say she wanted to bang him?Plus he did it with two Beth’s at the same time. Living the dream.
>>153462896No it was another one of Summer's friends. The one with the big titties.
>>153462896No that's TriciaThough we need more Jessica and Tricia
>>153462655He's the only character with a distinct personality now that Morty, Summer, and Beth are just Rick variants.
>>153462655The dimension hopping Jerrys was one of the better episodes of season 8.
>>153463044It's weird how Jessica basically disappeared in later seasons.
>>153462875Really? I always thought that's what Jerry should have been. I stopped watching a long time ago because the show got so bad. Should I give it another shot? If they actually treat Jerry like a normal dude and don't squidward torture porn him all the time. I am all for it! I really did like his character, minus the forced patheticness and torture aspect. Any good zombie era Jerry episodes?
>>153462655>>153462889it's funny because every time someone hates on jerry, they themselves are just rl version of him. Also fuck summer
>>153462655The road provides.
>>153465273>Also fuck summerUh, yeah. That's the idea.
>>153462655butt monkey
>>153463881Morty move on after getting laid multiple times and missing out/being rejected by Jesssica more than once.
>>153463881>It's weird how Jessica basically disappeared in later seasons.Shes a muh sexy lampshade cant have that.
>>153462655serious answer? Most room to grow and potential for adventureslike sure, he's both cowardly and a blowhard, but think about your favourite characters (like Donald Duck) and you'll notice the formula. Underdog
>>153463080Yeah, pretty much it. Quite sad how everyone became the same
>>153462655He's the most normal and relatable of the family
this episode was so good
>>153462655he didn't get better, everything else go worse. I presume, I stopped watching around season 3
Wabadadubdub
>>153463044I'd like to draw Tricia, but I haven't come up with anything funny for her to say.
>>153472687Maybe infer that the viewer is Jerry, then work off of that? What's a sexy but funny thing she could say to Jerry?
>>153463183>>153469346As a longtime Jerchad, it feels so rewarding to see the Rick and Morty writers do right by him https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlZn1Gg2T4k
>>153469346The beard twist fucking got me, Rick & Morty still has some juice in the tank
Albro Lundy and Heather Anne Campbell need to take greater control of the show and wash the Harmon stink off it
>>153474895At least they'll stop doing the meta shit if Harmon is off.
>>153465273>if you hate a weak, cowardly men who have shown he would save his own ass before protecting his own family and can't even hold a job you are just like meFuck off. You're like those people who say "if you hate gays it just means you are secretly gay yourself!" You've made up some bullshit no win condition where either you have to not hate Jerry or you are the Jerry. They have made Jerry less pathetic then he used to be but he still sucks and is unlikeable.>>153463080Also this. An actual big part of Beth's characterization is that she had deep seated abandonment issues due to her Rick abandoning her but it's like after the shift to more women writer's they felt it problematic to imply a women would ever need a man (even if it's just her dad) so then she took a sharp turn into making fun of Rick and not giving a shit about potentially driving him away. It's similar to how Harley Quinn can't be shown to be in a dysfunctional needy relationship over Joker even though that's the point of the character.
>>153462875>They finally dumped that divorce plotline then slowly phased out him being a cowardly parasite leeching off the family, so now he's just a simple, kinda dumb househusband doing his best and people find that endearing.Keep in mind we've gone through like 3 different Jerrys by now so the worst things Jerry did from the earliest episodes did might not even be applicable to current Jerry.
>>153462655He plays a flawed person who is aware that he is flawed and tries to be betterthat's literally more than every other character on the show has ever done
>>153475835more that they confronted him about his problems, and he actively tried to be better
>>153464012Well he's definitely still very much the Meg Griffin of the show. Usually the butt of the joke, at the bottom of the family totem pole and all that. But it's not as overwhelmingly mean spirited as it was before and there's a clear sense that the family actually cares about him now. Even Rick has rare occasions where he doesn't entirely hate Jerry's presence. There's even a brief bit in the first episode of Season 6 where they break the fourth wall and contrast Season 6 Jerry with Season 2 Jerry. Which feels like the writers trying to be as clear as possible that they're moving on from that.
>>153462655>How did he do it?By being the most relatable character in it.
>>153464012No the show has gone full anti-Christ
>>153476146There are still some good episodes.
>>153474933>At least they'll stop doing the meta shit if Harmon is offGod I hope so, since out of all the insufferable shit, that's the most insufferable.
>>153462655Jerry's a THIEF!
>>153477138Tell me about it. The Storylord episodes are some of the worst.
