>Let me get this straight, you want fully hand drawn animation, 11-22 min runtimes, high quality writing, action oriented cartoons that are released regularly, for free on YouTube, preferably with no ads, while the creators and animator juggle a full time day job on top of it?
>>
Well ya but how about this, you give me full frontal female nudity for 5 full minutes, and I'll let the other stuff slide. She has to be sexy and above age so I can see gentiles.
>>
>>153472013
I can't believe there are people who think indie can actually replace the void and thousands of union jobs television animation left.
Imo, the United States should just cut all pretense and get literal unpaid slaves to make cartoons.
>>
>>153472055
Why do you think various companies have such a hardon for AI?
>>
>>153472234
When will we get to the stage of feeding a model some character sheets and storyboards, and shitting out an entire animation. This is the sort of slop we want.
>>
>>153472013
If you even want to compete against the French & Jap animation, you're gonna have to
>show female nipples
>lewd shota & lolis
>hire actual talent & not CalArts beanface
>allow creator driven animation
>allow sexy & lewd women
Just give fans what they want.

The NewGrounds flash animation from the 2000s was already ahead of the curve long before the indie animation thing started trending.
>>
>>153472013
i watch the ads on youtube
>>
Not "preferably".
No ads or bust. Fuck off.
>>
>>153472447
At the current trajectory? I estimate 5-10 years. AI can already create 5 seconds clips in quality when configured correctly, & China is already working an super AI that will generate full-length movies with a single prompt. The future is now.
>>
>>153472447
We are already there.
>>
>>153472630
ai bubble popping long before that
>>
>>153472601
Fuck off age police. If numbers bother (you) that much, then go join take a math class. Faggot.
>>
>>153472650
>muh ai bubble
There is no "bubble." Big tech just bought all the RAM & priced out the average consumer. They're gonna be the ones behind running & marketing the AI. It's already happening. Unless you're willing to spend an arm or leg for an RTX, you're pretty much out of luck.
>>
>>153472650
Bro. They had a nonstop Seinfeld ai bot producing 24/7 Seinfeld on a stream once and it was better then most Seinfeld eps.

Its over for lazy slop content and preachy narc autures. There has to be talent, exierience, people producing content FOR the audience, and a back and forth with the audience now.

As someone said, newsgrounds flash made by people in their bedrooms, and patron cartoonists already showed the way forward. This is the end times for big media conglomerates.

The path forward is directly building an audience and creating a trully organic fanbase.

it's sad newgrounds, japan, AND france have all failed us in that regard (to varying degrees)
I just heard a UK vtuber got arrested for like drawing incest or something
>>
>>153472013
Just make it a serialized story, and write and animate the entire series before posting the advertisements, let alone even the first episode.
>>
>>153472773
Canada & EU nations are the only cucked nations that arrest people for thought crimes (drawings included).
>>
>>153472013
Eh, I’m not that picky.
>>
>>153472721
Youre right. There is no bubble.
It popped already.
Right now the government and the mask off completely fake market is being manipulated to keep the fraud going.
Data centers are being shelved, AI push at Microsoft(as well as firing all westerners and replacing everyone with indians) has killed it, most AI forward companies are DESPERATELY searching for IT people and workers to unfuck their AI vibe coding shit if their company hasn't gone under that is.
Its bad.
Oh and do you know how much free ram there is on street corners and waste e-waste centers?

The genie is out of the bag. The current attempt to push real ID...there us something more to that. And it has to do with AI. If I am correct we are all in serious trouble.
>>
>>153473014
Yeah that pretty much sums it up.

>vibe coding
Stop talking like a nigger. It's called "AI coding" & it's the future. The sooner it gets better, the less jeets there will be in the industry, which the industry desperately needs.

AI is actually indian streetshitting rretards.
Its being used to supplement cow fuckers lack of actual talent after the fire actual coders.

PS. If you knew what the fuck you were talking about you woukd know "vibes coding" is what actual programmers call it and its a fuckjng plague thats helped fucking no one who knows what they are doing. Shits out barely functional unsafe massive programs that are almost completely unreadable, and riddled with security vulnerabilities.
Its not going to change ever. Its how LLMs work. And throwing more power ar it isn't going to make it replace even three skilled coders.

Fucking retard. Your vibe coded trash is never going to be acceptable and always trash.

everybody has crimes that literally do not interact with other people, only involve you looking at or thinking or saying something.

I'd actually be totally fine with an incredibly limited animated series with choppy animation but hysterical writing and vocal performances.
>>
>>153473552
>everybody has crimes that literally do not interact with other people
Nope. Real crimes involve interactions with real people. Fiction is not real & thus does not involve real individuals. You are literally calling drawn pixels on a screen a "crime." Fuck off. No one's buying your delusion.

>only involve you looking at or thinking or saying something.
Yeah that's what makes it a thought crime. Glad to see your honest about at point. You want to control people's thoughts. Just be honest for once: This has nothing to do with art. We get it. You hate cartoons.

>we have a lot of work to do
WE? Who's "we?" It's only (you), smooth brain moralfaggot. Do you have any idea where (you) are right now? Mootchan literally created 4chan to discuss lolicon. In short, I'm not a part of your "we" group, & I hope you lose.

Been watching some season 30 zombie Simpsons because I have no standards. Why is Marge such a cunt?

You guys always talk about how terrible Lisa is, but Marge is a colossal shithead. There's a bunch of episodes where she just shits on Homer for no good reason.
>>
>>153472733
Good on you for finding my other bait. I've found using grammar or spelling errors let's me know who I've triggered with my bait.
>>
>>153473263
You got it all wrong. They're gonna improve the LLMs with Mass Surveillance, code monkeys included. They've already bought all the RAM & the HDs are next. The average consumer will be outpriced from even owning a machine. That's the whole point: Complete total control of the Internet. Be ready to jump ship when they roll Digital ID out.
>>
>>153472013
Japan can do it. Why can't you?

>>153474123
Lowest bidder animation is some shit. Anime these days is just an ad for the parts of the franchise that actually make money, so it's all done by whichever studio will do it cheapest. As a result there the majority of productions are fucking terrible quality. You still get exceptions, but probably for not much longer.
>>
>>153472447
> This is the sort of slop we want.

>Anime these days is just an ad for the parts of the franchise that actually make money
Bro, that's all anime (and cartoons) has ever been.
You guys have some wild delusions of grandeur when it comes to what animation actually is.
>>
I sometimes feel like as an art form, animation is simply not worth the effort and suffering required to make it. Like I'd say I'm relatively passionate person in terms of pursuing what I want to do in life rather than taking an easy paycheck, but people who want to become animators are on a different level. Like surely a lot if not most of them would have a better quality of life just switching to a different medium for their art.
>>
>>153474303
Once upon a time people bought physical media. So the economics of the situation was different.
>>
>>153472055
You're brown.
>>
>>153474123
>>153474166
But that’s because the studios were working on other shit and didn’t have enough people. Dbs had shit animation but Toei’s other properties, Toku and Precure looked good.
>>
>>153474350
I'm pretty sure when studios in Japan say that they can't be engaged because of working on other projects that's actually just an excuse to save face because they can't say 'we weren't offered enough money to do that shit'.
>>
>>153474166
> You still get exceptions
Yes, you still have those exceptions unlike western cartoons
>>
>>153474373
Nah, it’s and understaff problem, You can’t allocate so many resources to multiple franchises. Dbs had shit animation but Precure(depending on the season) had pretty good animation and that’s because not the same people were working on it.
>>
>>153472013

Um, excuse me OP, the thing is there's not really anything wrong with what anons want, they're as retarded as ever, but Californians can't make cartoons. And you're a fagget for getting the joke wrong.

You know what's funny? The show proposed a good cartoon can die of repetition, whereas in reality all cartoons go bad and fast. Enough to make viewers wish it was cancelled, like the Simpsons.

Whats going on in France is 20 times worse then whats going on in Canada and Japan is worthless without it's American leash.

What you really want is...

>Show wild takes.
>Funny animals, NO HUMANS (except for Popeye, Fred Flintstone and Laura Haruna of course).
>Hire actual talent from Japan and keep the rest of Asia away from it.
>Have a actual budget.
>No celebrity voice actors to bloat the budget, money must be spent on the animation itself.
>Allow creator driven animation
>Allow falling anvils/safes/pianos.

Thats what the fans want.

Tiny Toons is fucking awful.
>>
>>153474726
Go take a look at 90s berserk and shshows from that era.
Still frames, panning shots, animation limited in certain scenes while they spend the entire budget on pivotal scenes.
Its a well budgeted use of resources.
And you overestimate how much animation is needed over direction writing voice work and music.
And listening to the audience.

There are channels out there that are nothing VA and music over still pictures that routinely get between 10k and a million+ views on youtube regularly.

Consistency abd having a good product abd building and participating with the audience is key. Patreon and merch are next.
Kishimoto and kubo create things that are tailor made for merch
People are still walking around with Atsuki and bleach style merch.
Square knew it and are still capitalizing on FF merch.

Look at transformers. They are not selling the merch. They are not selling yhe idea of transformers. They are selling a basic bitch cartoon in a transformer suit to a nonexistent teen audience and transformer lifers.
The last one who understood yhe assignment was fucking Michael Bay.

Why are people so fucking against AI when it could literally help create spectacular 2d animation?
Like think how much time you could save if AI did your inbetweens for you. I'm not even saying it needs to color anything just help with the inbetweens and inking. That alone could not only speed up production time but cut down on how many people you need to animate.
This hate for AI feels like retards that hated computers in the 1990s

First of all most mainstream AI models are not ethically sourced, second of all AI shits itself trying to keep things coherent and consistant.
If it looses the wealth of all the uncountable amounts of stolen data then its very limited in what it can do.
If you must keep trying to push it torwards keeping even a single character looking exactly as it did two scenes ago you will spend tremendous amount of time flipping a coin that this generation will do exactly as you hoped.
>>
>>153476967
>most mainstream AI models are not ethically sourced
What is this even supposed to mean?
>>
>>153476967
I'm talking about using it for inbetweens. You'd still draw keyframes which would still acount for multiple drawings per second. Are you seriously telling me an AI model couldn't do the in-between frames? For fuck sake it can already add inbetweens for scenes to make 12 fps into 24 so I know you're talking shit. This is just ignoring a new toolset because of some luddite fear of tech.

>Maybe it's just the tramericans and trapanese who do nothing but complain?
>>
>>153474305
I think while that’s true it seems like the only reality more because of the economics than the medium. You didn’t have to be extra obsessed or privileged to make it a career when inbetweening work was a common entry point, you didn’t have to suffer to meet deadlines on films in the Soviet Union. You just had to be qualified to do the work. Conditions select for people who are able and willing to prepare on their own. On the other hand you have your Winsor McCays, so animation does seem to naturally attract the people who have that level of dedication, and they push the medium forward. But I think if more work existed more of the people we’re overlooking would emerge to lend a hand too. It’s a pretty young medium in the world of commerce, anything can change.

If AI could produce from something as simple as a half made storyboard, you would find every Californian cartoon pitcher would want to use it because they hate drawing and aren't a part of the animation studio.
They would only be ideologically opposed to it and not for the reason that it makes their job even more insecure if literally anyone could do it for them because that's pretty much the industry right now and their security is through networking and not skill.
