I'm writing and drawing a supernatural crime drama, and about half way in, this innocent woman is gonna get cursed, and double in height. I could just make it something else, although the height things relevant to the plot. She's already fairly sexualised and is probably gonna be more so afterwards, that just gonna make most readers feel uncomfortable? I still want it to be a serious crime story,
>>153474968Own it. Don't pussy out. If the story is good enough then people will enjoy it whether they're into it or not. But if that is your fetish then just make sure you don't sacrifice story for it. Also people like Ginormica from Monsters vs Aliens.
>>153474968Dude that’s not even that weird of a fetish people liking giant woman has always been a thing. Look at Big Barda and Mr. Miracle. The Futurama episode with the Amazonians. Just make your story don’t put a tag line in or anything and you’ll be fine. Someone can ask later if this was a fetish and you can just go did you like the story and if they say yes than go cool so it dosen’t matter. If they so no you go well I hope you bought it at least and move on. Everyone knows Trentino has a foot fetish but no one really cares because his movies for the most part are still entertaining.
"disguised" fetishes in non-porn comics is usually just funny to me unless it's overt to the point where the comic may as well be actual porn. and half the time it's not even really fetishistic on purpose. if it weren't for the internet you would never know that the willy wonka blueberry girl scene was someone's awakeningthe real pain is when you're reading a porn comic and it randomly shoehorns in a kink you hate
>>153474968Just admit to yourself and to your readers that you're writing a plot-heavy porn comic instead of pretending you're writing serious comic with a fetish in it.
>>153474968I completely didn't beat my dick to Dimitrescu like it owed me money
>>153474968My comic will have femdom, nullification, and fembots bro you're fine
>>153475469dangerously based
>>153475469Nullification? That's a fetish?Like, humiliating a metahuman by nullifying their powers?
>>153477068I thought it was this. Any cartoon gag becomes someone's fetish.
Make it clear no one involved is having a good time with it. Have the characters on the edge, no jokes that involve two people being physically involved in anyway, let it be an arduous fight to make things be the same as they once was and a huge relief once its all over.
Can you even do a fantastic voyage episode in a female character without it being a fetish comic to everyone? I feel like if you have female characters DO anything weird, it's automatically recognized. To be fair I do actually want to insert my fetishes though I just want to be subtle enough about it that it doesn't scare people off.
>>153477068Probably something to do with erasing aspect of someones mind or personality?
>>153477418it ruins the womans life, and she hates it, its gonna be dealt with realistically>>153475026>>153475362Yeah definitely not sacrificing the story for it, im honestly sorta hesitant to put it in, but with how ive written it i dont think itll come of fetishy. Anyway depending on which ending i go with, giantess might end up getting her a shotgun to the head during the finale. She's not the focus of the story, just a key character to the events
>>153477068>>153477372>>153477424Sorry guys. Its penis removal. Null as in Ken doll.
>>153477472Does it just drop off or is there graphic castration involved?
>can't have damsels in peril anymore because 10 people have that kink
>>153477068Null is when you have no genitals, there's was a chick who had it once. Only wanted to do anal all her life
>>153474968If its one of my fetishes its okay.
>>153477943true, why is everything seen as a fetish today
>>153477472>>153478368Eeew
>>153477453A story having hints of the writers fetish, along with things like selfinserts, soapboxing, Mary/Gary Stus and other fanfictionisms, is what I'd file under a wider phenomenon I've heard called indulgent writing, as in when the writer let's his/her personal desires influence the writing to it's detriment, like trying have a happy ending in a very dark and twisted story. Indulgence in itself isn't a bad thing, if you're enjoying yourself it will show in your work, but the writer needs to be aware weather his personal preferences bleed into the story too much even if he himself enjoys writing it, for example a detective story where the protagonist solves every mystery instantly because the writer really likes super smart characters. There's a reason why some creators get the reputation they do, because when they don't have enough self control or a writing team to tard wrangle their ideas the audience will catch on pretty quickly. In your case I'm pretty sure there's no need to worry about coming off as fetish fuel since your story idea doesn't stem from having a thing for giant girls. Of course there's always going to be those that will see it that way, but to an average coomer everything in a hardwear store is a fucking fetish, so as long as you don't deliberately feed them I wouldn't worry.
>>153474968Very easily acceptable if the premise is weird paranormal stuff happening everywhere
>>153478545Thanks for that. The more ive thought about it, the more it probably makes sense for the story. Its indulgent, but i made this story and then figured this “fetish element” made senseGirls a tragic character literally “cursed” with fame and spotlight, shes gonna become beautiful, but the giantess thing takes the metaphor to another level, but either way it happens like half way through so ive got alit of time to think about it
>>153478622Well thankfully thats the premise, alot of supernatural ghosts and events
>>153478545>everything in a hardwear store is a fucking fetishas long as the tools are female
As long as the story itself is good then I don't care if it's a disguised fetish
>>153474968Depends on the fetish. Giant women are inoffensive. I wouldn't read anything with diaperfur.
>>153478977what if it was sold on amazon as a book
>>153474968gts is so lovely
>>153474968Source?
>>153474968Depends on if it's a fetish I have or not
>>153475026I agree with your sentiment, but the fact that the plot demands someone gets "cursed" with enhanced strength and an inescapable gait means that the whole story is probably shit to begin with (outside of fetish appeal). What kinda fucking swamp hag/gypsy/voodoo priestess curses you with the power to fuck her shit up even harder? They already can't take a punch from a normal person.
>>153474968When the story goes from fun characters to Dom/Abuse fetish, that's where such stories crap out. Your characters need to show a little sweetness and kindness to each other, if you are teasing a will they/won't they. Give the fans a reason to hope. If your characters are already together, show the challenges of dealing with the new reality. Are you telling a story or is your product just a fetish? Decide that right now. It will be better either way.
>>153474968It really depends. Sometimes it's too pit of place and derails the story or characters actions too out of character to accommodate a fetish scenario. Other times it's integrated a lot more naturally.

>>153474968>is this gonna make readers feel uncomfortable Yes>I want it to be a serious crime storyThen don't put fetish shit in it>the height is plot relevantThen tone down the sexualization. How she is drawn during the curse will determine of fetishy it comes off>but everyone else saidYou came to /co/ to all places. Of course /co/ would be cool with it. Others won't
>>153478424"why is everything a fetish" because this is explicitly a fetish
>>153485805Asking is?
I was getting sick of Harley Quinn pushed as a feminist girlboss when her origin was literally her being a dumb bimbo who slept her way through high school, university and getting her PhD.Then she murdered a bunch of kids with off-brand exploding Nintendo consoles. Then she raped Nightwing in Batman & Harley Quinn (which is the third time after Mirage and Tarantula II).Her being an blatant and obnoxious Karma Houdini in the Injustice universe because Tom Taylor jerks off to her despite the fact she is literally just as guilty as the Joker.Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League made me hate her.But Harley Quinn Fartacular: Silent Butt Deadly with Joanne Starer's account talking about how 'gassy' she is in the solicits leading up to the release and the fact it came out in MARCH with a scratch and sniff sticker proved that the defense of it being an "April Fools Joke" was a lie and damage control and it was 100% a fetish comic by DC. That is what truly repulsed me and why I am genuinely repulsed by the character of Harley Quinn now.Or look at Zeb Well's run on The Amazing Spider-Man where he projected being a low-T cuckold whose wife cheated on and left him on Peter Parker and that damage STILL hasn't been fixed over 4 years later and Mary Jane's character is permanently damaged with further baggage not only from Paul Rabin, but the Jackpot and Venom pivots after trashing Peter constantly because Wells couldn't get over his messy divorce (history repeats itself like with Quesada) only Wells has an ACTUAL NTR fetish from getting cucked from his own wife whereas Quesada was going through a mid-life crisis from his divorce and custody battles, notice how despite Vanessa being Deadpool's driving motivation she suddenly dumps him in Deadpool & Wolverine out of nowhere when Zeb had a writing credit.
