This was okay. Not amazing like people have been claiming.
The art was a bit of a mismatch. Jock drew great cityscapes, but the action wasn't as good. Francavilla drew great suspense, but the superheroics were lacking. I don't like the way Snyder writes how characters know things, like they just read about it and memorized a tidbit. I also don't like Dick very much. He's just not very interesting. But still, it had some good bits, mostly ideas.
How did you feel about it?

Most of the lauded Batman comics are big nothingburgers. Maybe even all of them. The best Batman storyline I ever read was City of Crime, and that one is never mentioned in the same breath as the "other" ones.

I don't know. My favorites are still the most basic bitch picks: TDKR and Year One.
>City of Crime
I'm reading that one next.

Sure thing.

It’s simply better than anything else Scott Snyder has written. I wouldn’t say it’s amazing though, no.

The jock art is hideous.

So Court of Owls is worse?
