The reason Abra Catastrophe and Channel Chasers work is that there is a sense of dread that Timmy will eventually have to move on that the show addresses. Around season 5 was also when they were originally making that FOP theater movie, but it got cancelled, I think after that the FOP team quiet quit. None of the episodes toward the end felt like they were "wrapping it up" but rather they just didn't give a fuck, wanted to complete their contract in a hurry and find new work.
