We sadly never got any of these; Carol's abductor turned out to be a slaver who kidnapped super powered beings to sell to bad guys to use as unwilling henchmen and her actions in this story would be retconned as being the result of both Predator, now a ghost who raped and murdered the original Zamaron queen/Star Sapphire, who's spirit was the entity that kept hijacking control over Carol's body when she was SS. Malvolio was put on "characters we never to be used again", but Ron Marz knew about him and the ring switch, hence why he EXPLICITLY had Hal ditch all of his rings at the end of Emerald Twlight, before he absorbed the energy of the main power battery/wiped out the GLC so fans couldn't argue that ET was all Malvolio's doing due to the ring swap. Ironically, Priest pitched a team book featuring Malvolio as a hero/leader of the team to explicitly state Malvolio had nothing to do with ET and affirm he was a hero all along (and finally do his alien invasion story) but DC told him to fuck off and die.
