You can't imagine the suffering of being a Disney Channel Household
>>
>>153505033
I dunno, Anon, Even Stevens and Kim Possible were fun.
>>
>>153505033
You mean a Disney Adult household? Or just having access to Disney Channel?

>>153505300
It was fine, but still miles inferior to good 'n old Fox Kids, and even Jetix. Fox Kids was legendary.
>>
>>153505368
Well, naturally. I'm just saying there was decent stuff on Disney Channel, so it's not the wasteland it could be. Still pretty rough sometimes, though.
>>
That depends on what era of Disney we are talking and whether or not Disney adults are a factor.
>>
>>153505523
Talking about being a kid from the early 2000s to the early 2010s
>>
Disney Channel was the only "good" channel I had growing up
>>
I wasn’t allowed to watch Disney growing up and only sneaked some XD and suite life occasionally. I was however into CN, Nick and Fox kids. Apparently this was very backwards and a lot of people experienced the opposite, and I pity you
>>
>>153506143
Why not Disney but you were allowed to watch the others? Were your parents just anti-Disney?
>>
>>153506163
Yes. I was also not allowed to watch Thomas the train engine. Technically though, I could’ve accessed any of these with the unmonitored internet access I had but had no reason to seek it out. I’m also autistic, which is why I’m telling you and wasn’t aware of the social aspect of missing out on Disney when that’s all my peers watched.

I dunno, when I started "outgrowing" Cartoon Network from about age 10 onward, they had a lot of stuff that I remember fondly. Kim Possible and the original Proud Family, and lots of non-/co/ like Even Stevens, Lizzie McGuire, Jett Jackson, reruns of Smart Guy and Boy Meets World which were new to me. A lot of the stuff on early-mid 2000s CN just didn't do it for me.
>>
Did you guys not watch multiple channels?
I watched CN, Nick, Jetix, Disney Channel, whatever.
>>
>>153506746
Not OP but when I was a kid we only had three TV's. my mom's (parents divorced), my sister's, and the living room TV. Also I grew up in a religious household and they hated Fairly Oddparents and Spongebob, mom considered it brain rotting. I was only allowed to watch either baby channels, PBS kids, or Disney Channel
>>
>>153506116
hmm, on one hand you have stuff like emperors new groove and Kim possible but on the other you have crap like proud family... that's a tough call.
>>153507197
boy I'm glad my parents aren't religious sycophants and I could watch whatever the hell I wanted.

idk man, Disney Channel sitcoms weren't bad throughout the 2000s--DCOMs especially--and there were plenty of cartoons that could hold their own against Nick or CN

I had the best of 3 worlds (Nick, Disney and CN) so I was chilling.
I also had OnDemand, so I was able to tune into Jetix and other obscure cartoons as well.

For me it was YTV and Teletoon
>>
>>153505033
Do you even get shows, or is it like the Mickey Mouse club of old, where you get a membership card in return for a fee?
>>
>>153505033
oh noOOoooo anything but that, fun cartoons on TV
Faggot
>>
>>153507918
Ikr? These poorfags are depressing me. Can you really grow up mentally stable in a household where shit like Kim Possible and SpongeBob was too gauche and offensive?
>>
>>153508523
Imagine not being able to watch the simpsons
>>
>>153505033
I used to get Fox Kids and/or Jetix, which had some Disney programming on it. The day Jetix got replaced completely by Disney Channel was the day I stopped watching TV regularly as a kid. I still rarely watch TV.
>>
>>153505033
i did. i was a cartoon network kid but my older cousin who lived with us preferred disney channel and my parents would let her have the remote
so most of the day she would just have me watch that's so raven and zack and cody.

I think Cartoon Network was the only safe network for children during this era. The incest was wild and Disney made Dylan and Cole, actual brothers perform a lot of weird homoerotic stuff that ended up bleeding into their actual humor and lifestyle and anybody who’s seen Drake & Josh knows they make these step brothers really fucking gay for each other too. I know some autist will say all these characters had female love interests consistently, which obviously since you can’t put straight up gay incest no jokes in a children’s show but it’s a big cope to not see your childhood through the perverted lens all these producers and writers saw it in. Again, fuck Disney and Nick for exploiting children and pushing incest themes to the point where it was a gag for two actual twin brothers.

I had no cable, period. Everything was limited to basic broadcast because my mom considered cable to be a waste of money.
