On this day on May 3, 2011, TAWOG premiered its very first episode on Cartoon Network. So what did you think of this series as a whole or it's recent revival?
I stopped watching after season 3 (not because it was bad, interests just shifted). Did it ever take a nosedive in quality like AT and RS?

I had a crush on Gumball as a kid and developed a fetish for his type of speaking voice and voice cracks and have done my best to try and unlearn this but I am still attracted to that type of voice and want Gumball. Well, not really actively attracted to Gumball myself but I mean he’d be apart of my haram.
Why did The Looney Tunes Show fail while Gumball became a huge hit? Both shows premiered the same day.
This show debuted after Problem Solverz and before Secret Mountain Fort Awesome. No surprise Gumball gelled with audiences more.

S2 is where I really started to pay attention to it, I think that's when the concepts the show embodied at the time really started to click. The cartoon always felt weird, but when it finally clicked for me was when I was having fun.And it turned out that I didn't really like what saw when S3 and the rest came out hot. It left this distaste that built up with each new episode that I couldn't shake off. It hardly felt identifiable to what I initially learned to love. Hundreds of episodes later, plus a whole rewatch after The Inquisition aired new, and I felt nothing but an indifference if I wasn't annoyed with what I saw on screen. Looking back I think I was hoping somehow Gumball would click for me again. There was something I was sensing here that I felt before in past seasons, and I think having a clear mindset of being open to whatever I saw really hammered into me the blind ignorance I've had for years.Then the other 20 episodes came in and yeah, I think I get Gumball now. Again, I'm generally not happy with most of the show to this day, and I know what I'm going to say is running contradictory to my sourness, but I believe I can genuinely say that despite all the ups and downs across the many years I've had with this show that I finally found the magic again. It's not how I wanted the show to turn out, but I finally learned to accept what is in front of me.

The highest it achived was "The Goons" from season 1 which had 2.75 million viewers. Even something like Fish Hooks had better average ratings than Gumball.
