>When Animal Farm with Seth Rogen in the voice cast mogs Looney Tunes at the domestic box office LMFAO, TDTEBUfags and cartoonfags BTFO.
>>153508705Yeah cus it ruins it's message that capitalism is bad
>>153508705It's also going to mog Looney Tunes at the Razzies.
>>153508705I watched it.This is literally just the 1950 film. When I heard that the ending was changed to be a good ending, first thought was 'Oh, they redeemed Napoleon?'. Nope, turns out it's just the 1950 film's ending. Christ, even the 90's film had a different ending from the 1950's film.
Is it better than the 90s movie ending?
>>153508938It's just the 1950s film ending. The animals rose up, and overthrew Napoleon.
>>153508924
>>153508705Kys
>>153509025You first.
>>153508705Seth Rogen is a fat dirty kike who runs everything he's in.
Bump
>>153508705What the fuck is your vendetta against Looney Tunes about?? Holy shit
>>153508705Funny how this "communist" slop needs money to go see it. Also the changes make zero sense and all it'll do is make people hate communism even more. Just watch the original instead, it's not censored and woke like this garbage is.
>>153512337The book is free.
>>153508905SPBP
I haven't seen a single commercial for this anything. Its like they're ashamed of it.
>>153508705Seth Rogen might be in an actually good animated film this year.https://deadline.com/2026/04/cannes-annecy-animation-tangles-sales-charades-uta-caa-1236874842/
The marketing team is by far the best thing to come out of this movie.
25% on RT, and no viewer reviews yet. I wonder if people are even aware of this thing.
>>153512688It received a 100% Napoleon score, you dumb snowball supporter
>>153508924That beats the animlas being under a kind human, atleast. How's the rest of the movie like? I imagine it's more out there but does it convey the same ideas as the original work?
>>153512645Got a good laugh outta me
>>153512337>Funny how this "communist" slop needs money to go see it. Also the changes make zero sense and all it'll do is make people hate communism even more.Uh, buddy do you not know what original message of Animal Farm was?
>>153512958The original is anti communist and this shitty remake is pro communist. Yes I know the difference. It's a dogshit remake that ignores the original in all ways.
>>153512987I thought it was anti-ussr not anti-communist. like mr jones is as much of a villain as Napoleon.
>>153512958That pig stalin misinterpreted pig marx's message and just became aristocracy 2.0
>>153512958Yeah, that leaders will screw over the little people no matter what.
>>153508705So basically the film shifts from the dangers of socialism in favor of shitting on capitalism with a feel good resolution ending? Granted Orwell was critical of capitalism too, but would likely find this movie fucking stupid and missing the point. The pigs weren't corrupted, they just got the means to be true to their nature. Which I dont even know why Rogen made this because Hollywood is the most capitalist bullshit in the US. He's legitimately a greedy businessman posing as a "relatable stoner"
>>153512688Rotten tomatoes is not a reliable website, nor their critics.
The ending of the first animated film was CIA propaganda
>>153512958>>153512987>>153513022It was illustrating the fall of the SSR, and the slippery slope of socialism becoming communism as power corrupts and not everyone is treated fairly. Which if you get right down to it socialism is a pipe dream that is refuted to work on paper yet no one wants to actually make it work. Know why? Because at the end of the day people want to be rewarded for their hard work, and that's undermined by the equal distribution teachings.
>>153508705The power of marketing. I won't watch it but I have to admit, rage batting people into hate watching was pretty clever.
>>153513695Still a pretty good indicator that no one is gonna be aware of this thing.
>>153513721Socialism isn't equal distribution.Socialism is the workers controlling the means of production.
>>153513972Socialism is the state before you control the means of production, or was back when they were making socialism protocommunism for normies
>>153514004What?
>>153514069Well in the old scribbles of marx and engels they knew they wouldn't become communists like someone was flipping a tortillaThey will be a moment were they both revolutionaries and financially bound so to speakSink in debt with no other system to get goods and services but capitalism, this was socialism, the struggle to get to a better post monetary system societyMost contemporaries just wanted the revolution so things change almost didn't cared about the change they wanted
>>153514143>the struggle to get to a better post monetary system societyFrom what I understand that's a communism thing.
>>153513028Not at all.An aristocracy wouldn't have persecuted its own members and purged even the top. That's the thing people don't get about Stalinism, it wasn't a dictatorship oppressing the poor peasants. In USSR, everyone rich and poor was on the chopping block.
>>153513721>Because at the end of the day people want to be rewarded for their hard workCommunism and socialism allows for this. If you're a billionaire and you get a hundred bucks, you're a billionaire+a hundred bucks. If you're a poor starving peon, you won't go hungry. And in capitalism no one 'actually' is rewarded for their hard work. They're only rewarded by the hard work of others that they happen to benefit from.Ironically nowadays, literally from China currently.
>>153514294Socialism is part of the communist manifesto they were very creative>>153514345We have different views of aristocracy
>>153514425>Socialism is part of the communist manifesto they were very creativeYeah, but they're different facets though.I wonder if you meant that socialism is the struggle to get to a better system. One that's post monetary system. Along with some others like post borders, etc.
>Make a movie about the pitfalls of communism and a parable about the tragedy of what happened in the USSR>Water it down similar to the Lorax to sell tickets for Hollywood into a pathetic soulless product
Animal Farm is anti-authoritariansim in all its forms.Things don't go to pot on Animal Farm until Napoleon employs gangster tactics to eliminate any dissent and cancel all forms of election and community involvement in governance.
>>153514477No am just being a bitch on purpose am fully aware there is more than a century of socialists and they all had their own ideas I also know they all fall into marx's and engels socialism definition umbrella, but downright corporate sell outs that just don't care anymore but have the label for whatever reason
>>153514525It also kind of struck me as Utopian, but that's a little on the different side.
>>153514568I can't say it is because I lived under socialist government and policies all my life, in practice besides the obvious guy who is in it for the money that could hold any belief socialists do believe their shit, they do believe that with the correct government position and the state financing it they will get to improve things in socialist fashion, with money as a way to a better life for everyoneWhat is utopic as all the things they do with no monetary reward or needThat's the stuff and the thing that make socialism such a succesful ideology
>>153508705Rumors circulating are saying that almost all of the tickets sold for this movie are empty seats. I think there's supposed to be some kind of program where you can buy extra tickets so other people can see the movie for free, but it seems like no one is actually showing up for this shit that doesn't have a youtube channel in need of something to talk about this week.
>>153514632>I think there's supposed to be some kind of program where you can buy extra tickets so other people can see the movie for free,There is.>Either as a response towards the negative reactions to the trailers or as a "joke", Angel Studios created a website for viewers to write reviews of the movie, which are then changed by AI into positive ones. After the credits, you were encouraged to scan one of two QR codes that was either positive (the correct answer) or negative (the wrong answer) of the movie. Scanning the negative one sends you to a website where Napoleon deems your opinion incorrect and offers a way to "correct" your opinion by buying more tickets for other people to see the movie, as well as the option for an Angel Guild Premium subscription.https://www.animalfarmreviews.com/
Saw the movie.First half has some decent lines from Stoller for Rogen and Culkin, Rogen does a solid performance as well. There are some inspired creative decisions like having the destruction of the farm and building of the dam be set to the Price Is Right theme. The credits display two QR codes: one if you liked it, one if you hated it. I found the latter pretty amusing.https://www.angel.com/hated-it/animal-farm?utm_campaign=animal-farm&utm_content=anfarm-th-pif-b&utm_medium=qr-code&utm_source=pay-it-forwardI thought it was all rather whatever. I don’t have a problem with it going after big-tech capitalism because that’s much more of a thing these days than Stalinism. I’m also open to different interpretations of existing works, and I like Andy Serkis.
>>153508705>>When Animal Farm with Seth Rogen in the voice cast mogs Looney Tunes at the domestic box office"Super Mario" is still animation king. And I wonder why that "That Time" anime didn't do better.
>turn it into a corny kids movie with fart jokes and a happy ending>still kill off Boxerhonestly kind of surprised, i thought he'd make it this time
>>153508705where's the camrip, i'm trying to watch this with zero knowledge of the dumb shit they've done with animal farm so I can be surprised every time something retarded happens
>>153513670>Which I dont even know why Rogen made this because Hollywood is the most capitalist bullshit in the US. He's legitimately a greedy businessman posing as a "relatable stoner"Rogan didn't produce this, Cinesite did.
>>153513670>They can't be pro communism because they are richkek.
>>153516261*Rogen, don't know why I confused him for the drug-taking MMA fighter. But the moral feels hypocritical and half-baked, especially since it could easily apply to Pilkington's actions as much as it does the pigs. Speaking of, does she die? I don't want to bother watching the movie.
>>153508705>$35 million budget>barely $5 million opening weekendHoly shit, this is gonna be one of the biggest bombs of the last 5 years. Deservedly so. Serkis needs to stock to mocap shit.
>>153515250>ALL REVIEWS ARE EQUAL BUT SOME REVIEWS ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS
>>153513022>>153512958>>153512987Not reading this shit thread any furtherOrwell was a devoted socialist that despised Stalin for ruining everything and wrote in opposition of Stalinism and Authoritarianism.Asking for a political definition on 4chan is a bad idea
>>153516383>american educationAnimal Farm was about capitalism in America, just as 1984 was about censorship in the UK during WW2. Neither are anti-communist works.
>>153508705>with Seth Rogen in the voice castDid they pass a law that this guy has to be involved with every animated remake and reboot or something? Can he not just go back to make movies about fat stoners?
>>153516424>Animal Farm was about capitalism in AmericaYeah okay sure. I'm a dedicated tankie and even I know that's bullshit.
>>153516484He actively pushes back when directors make him voice act, he's so fucking lazy he wants to be able to use his own voice at all times.
>>153516424But communists have awareness and they felt that the book criticized the party At least is how I heard it directly from a commie who had just read the book
>>153515250That's almost funny, but it's going to be funnier when this shit flops super hard and everyone involved has to spend the next several years pretending they had nothing to do with this box office cancer.
>>153515581>I’m also open to different interpretations of existing worksThat's not a "different interpretation" though. It's skinsuiting Orwell's corpse to insist he'd believe what they want him to believe to support the legitimacy of their blatant propaganda movie's badly confused messaging.
>>153516424>actively engaging in commie historical revisionismFunny joke anon. Don't do it again.
>>153516584Well, lets see, the budget was 35 mil (no idea if that includes marketing, but theres barely any, so...) and it debuted at #6, making 3.3 mil. Yeah.
>>153516605what makes you think orwell wouldn’t also oppose current stage capitalism?
>>153516616Muh heckerino dogmatic knowledgeHe knew america and he knew about their mega rich and corrupt syndicates and didn't liked it, deal with it
>>153516564Even Patrick Warburton and H Jon Benjamin are capable of different voices when asked.
>>153517947Retard lmao
>>153516542Faggot
>>153516383why'd you reply to me when I said animal farm was anti-ussr but not necessarily anti-communist though?
>>153508705Turning Animal Farm into a silly comedy with celebrity voices is a concept that's honestly so absurd and dystopian Orwell could have written it himself
