OP is off their rocker, but I find this to be an interesting insight into how Illumination makes their films. Like they're deliberately, meticulously factory-made and focus group tested to get as many butts in seats as possible, from the way the scenes are structured to the pacing to the character archetypes to the comedy to the needle drop music. The studio has always operated on a quantity over quality philosophy, as per their own admission.
