Would the world be a better place with Brain in charge?
>>153510240yes
>>153510240 Brain is definitely arrogant and full of his own hype but he generally cares about the well-being of those around him and those he sees responsibility for he wants to rule the world because he wants it done responsibly not by the in Universe ridiculous people who probably should not have the jobs in the first place. Case in point episode where he not trying to rule the world or anything but just went out with pinky to have a good nice time like a normal person he stood up to multiple bosses for their actions and behavior inspiring employees and got a bit of a following from people who didn't know who he was. But that being said this being a series that presumably had multiple offers doing things for the sake of the plot of different episodes being made by different people that's probably an amount of times that things do depend on the story exactly how this children's cartoon character in a comedy behaved.
>>153510240Without a shade of doubt.Brain may be somewhat arrogant and hungry for world domination, but it's undeniable that he wants to make it a better place.Hell, remember that one Freakazoid episode where the titular character stopped Japan from bombing Pearl Harbor? It ended up actually improving the world (as opposed to screwing it over like in many time-travel scenarios) and the one positive was that Brain was the U.S. President instead of Bill Clinton. That is a massive improvement.
>>153510240Probably, but he would also massively screw things up, but yknow in a funny way not a tragic way, so a big improvement overall
>>153510240 Core Question of the ThreadThe original poster asks whether the world would be a better place if Brain (from Pinky and the Brain) were in charge . Summary of Replies1. Simple agreementOne user answers “yes” without elaboration .2. Brain as a responsible, well‑intentioned rulerA longer reply argues that:Brain is arrogant, but he genuinely cares about others and feels responsible for them .His desire to rule the world comes from wanting things done competently, unlike the “ridiculous people” in charge in-universe .An example is given of an episode where Brain, not trying to take over the world, stands up to abusive bosses, inspires employees, and gains admiration from strangers .The commenter notes that character behavior varies because the show had multiple writers and episodic plots .3. Brain as a net positive improvementAnother user says the world would be better “without a shade of doubt” because:Brain wants to improve the world, even if he’s power‑hungry .They reference a Freakazoid! episode where an alternate timeline has Brain as U.S. President, which the commenter calls an improvement over the real‑world president of that era .4. Brain would help… but also mess things upA final reply suggests:Yes, the world would probably be better. But Brain would also screw things up, though in a humorous rather than tragic way, making it still an improvement overall . Overall TakeawayAcross the thread, users generally agree that Brain in charge would be an improvement, mainly because:He’s competent and well‑intentioned. His flaws are comedic rather than catastrophic.Even alternate‑universe portrayals of him as a leader are framed positively. If you want, I can also:Extract the tone of the thread,Compare this discussion to typical Pinky and the Brain fan debates,Or summarize the arguments for vs. against Brain as a ruler.
>>153511269Brain would outlaw ChatGPT
>>153510240Yes, markedly so. There is no living world leader in our world as intelligent as The Brain. Secondly, being a cartoon character from a kids show, he is also nowhere near as evil as the average world leader or politician. In our world, Brain would be stumped and cheated in every attempt he would make to earnestly engage with the political system. So him just making some absurd machination to take it over by force would just be the best possible outcome. Not even joking he would be an upgrade to the current powers that be in almost every way. I would rather be made to swear fealty to a mouse than put up with this nonsense we see today.
>>153511497>So him just making some absurd machination to take it over by force would just be the best possible outcomeMost episodes were about Brain raising the money needed to finance his world domination plans, which never panned out. Gotta have the gold to make the rules, after all.
>>153511577Taking over the world via finance in of itself would also be a viable alternative.
>>153511648True, but it was usually because he just needed the money to buy the crucial parts for his inventions.
>>153511666Go on.
>>153514027Money has been Brain's main obstacle in his plans since the very first Animaniacs short where he goes on faux-Jeopardy to win the money needed to buy the last needed parts for his world domination device, but he loses it all on the final round when he can't answer a question on television catchphrases (ironically the one Pinky was quoting all night).
>>153510240I think he's a benevolent dictatorbut I have to go with the Mr. House thing here: a mouse who thought he could break into Fort Knox and just walk off with the gold bars with only another mouse to help him is probably not capable of running a planet.>>153511050I love how it A) "prevented ww2" and B) made rush limbaugh a bleeding-heart liberal
>>153514214I love how Eltingville Club did the same exact joke and it worked exactly as well the second time.
>>153510240No regards for human life
>>153510240Yes, but that's exactly why he shouldn't be in charge. The world isn't supposed to be better, it's supposed to be as bad as possible.
>>153510240The episode where he quit trying basically confirmed it. He rallied people behind him and his ideas without even meaning to, and they trusted him.
>>153510240the poor man's Dr Doom
Compared to what we've got NOW?I Vote Brain for Supreme Overlord.
>>153511269>An example is given of an episode where Brain, not trying to take over the world, stands up to abusive bosses, inspires employees, and gains admiration from strangers .True, but it's also sort of played as a tragic joke: the closest he comes to taking over the world is when he's not actively trying, and the opportunity is lost because he doesn't realize he's the leader the world wants.
