Shuri was a side character who was mostly just "T'Challa's sister who wanted to be Black Panther," and so was easily redone into the younger, more tech oriented character in the movies. So were able to do something super different with no pushback.I can't imagine the big name X-Men will get syngerized much, outside of costumes I guess (which will probably just be more "tech" and "tacticool" at worst).
