God we are so fucked. Just looking through these they are all so fucking LAME. The majority of these films feel like the people making them are the softest, edgeless fuckers of all time. More than half use that same squiggly “cute Japanese” art style with no edges or confident, dynamic line work whatsoever. Genuinely feels like every single one of these artists has the same inspirations.The average internet cartoon has better design and animators more worthy of jobs. A huge amount of these are doodles with incredibly scratchy line art that doesn’t look intentional, but amateurish. Last Flight is good. The animation there is genuinely impressive and well done. I also found Happy Thanksgiving to be pretty decent, the art there is cozy and well done.I’m just so not impressed by what this school puts out anymore and with the industry in its death stage it feels very hopeless that any of these people can turn things around.
