And no country in either Earth or Kasslyne would consider killing hostile enemy combatants in a war a valid reason to call into question custodial rights, nor would the overwhelming majority of moral paragons we've met falter if they were made to face plat soldiers. Even Toma would kill them if left with no alternatives. War isn't pretty, and it isn't just. The people who are responsible for the murder of plat children are the ones who set the system up for them to be fighting in the first place, not the ones in the trenches fighting with (or against) them when left with no other recourse.
