This refers to when a cartoon gets replaced by another cartoon despie it still being popular and drawing in good ratings. Notable examples include

>The Penguins of Madagascar ending to make room for Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness. Penguins ended in 2012, not 2015 like Wikipedia says
>Tiny Toon Adventures ending to make Animaniacs
>Victorious ending to make am & Cat
>What's New Scooby-Doo ending to make Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue
>Dexter's Lab (originally) ending to make Powerpuff Girls
>Disney Afternoon kept doing this to make room for new content
