>>153529965The problem with Thragg is that we are shown pretty much every Viltrumite in the story chasing after their impulses at every opportunity. Which is fine. It makes perfect sense considering they are nigh impossible to kill and live forever, that's what the race would be like.Thragg holds himself back in almost every appearance. The first time we see him is at his most terrifying which is the Viltrumite War, and past that he's clearly more of a stateman than anybody else alive in their race. He doesn't run his fist through Cecil at the first opportunity like Mark expects, he calmly waits for them and offers a ceasefire. He doesn't take the opportunity to run Mark through a sun and leave the planet uncontested (with Nolan in space), he puts all his resources to keeping him alive. He constantly does things no other Viltrumite would do in his situation because he is constantly restraining himself and keeping his outbursts to idle threats.So this? This immediate shift into being just like all the rest because Kirkman decided to flip his retard switch is massively disappointing.
