Why did a lot of people not like the world tour arc? I found a lot of it really intriguing.
>>153538549It went on for TWENTY-SIX EPISODES. That is a full fucking season for some shows.
>>153538549It went on for longer it was supposed to because the higher ups wanted spin-offs to compete with Marvel's shows when Disney passed on buying Marvel.
>>153538549It was necessary to hype up the villain. It was intense and epic. Some parts were slow, but it was about building up the ending.
>>153538667So what? The show was on 5 days a week by then. It needed filler.
>>153538549The premise of Gargoyles in the modern day was a 5 star premise that I wanted to see more of. The main clan had great designs and felt like characters you'd want to watch. All the mooks you saw on the World Tour arc felt like forgettable ideas with lame designs, especially knowing a lot of them were rejected pitches and soft pilots. Its the same thing where a lot of people dislike Ninja Turtles leaning too hard into sci-fi and mysticism,Gargoyles would've been better if the mysticism was used more lightly to make the remaining Gargoyles feel more special.
>>153539090The truly unforgivable part was shafting most of the cast during that time
>>153539220Shaft?With the show being 5 days a week, the rest of the cast got more appearances than ever before. Sure Goliath, Elisa, Angela and Bronx got more appearances but is that a bad thing?Goliath is the main character and Elisa is the female lead.
