>yfw Hank is still assistant manager at Strickland Propane
>>153540228Why is Kahn the only balding one?
>>153540245>Bill and Dale are already balt>Boomhaur is unquestionably using products/transplant to keep a full head of hair>Cotton had a full head of hair up until he died so Hank has good genes
>>153540293>balt>Boomhaurgood morning sirs
>>153540370>>153540370>when even an indian can realize the answer to your question was blatantly obvious with just a small amount of thought put into itIm taking away your White card, you dont belong with us.
>>153540228I was hoping we'd get another season soon.
>>153540423sir please no angree
Boomhaur get chicken.
>>153540293Anon. Balding genes are mostlymatrilineal.
>>153540463Really bugs me that King of the Hill used to get nearly 30-episode seasons airing new episodes year-round, but now has to settle for 10-episode batches released all in a day. Streaming really has killed television, and that's made most apparent with all these revivals of old shows.
I wanted to like the reboot but it just looks like ass.
>>153540293yeah but Cotton's bloodline has narrow urethras that skip generations
>>153540293>boomhaueryep, his hair not going even a bit more grey after all those years give him away
>>153541640It is ass.Holy shit is it bad.
>>153541606what is the fucking mindset in releasing new episodes for a show in a batch? do executives not fucking realize why cable stretched their airings to one new episode per week? that's how you grow the audience and increase the probability of milking more money from them. seriously it should be the same shit but something or someone psyoped these retards into just dropping all the episodes in one day
>>153540228They took the final seasons and built from there but not in a good way. Peggy's character deterioration just got worse and now she's even more awful. They still make progressively worse "antagonists" that are just really overt and retarded. Then they introduce new shitty things because I guess a guy in a modern revival HAS to be seperated from his wife and knocked down, with Kahn. We have to have a manosphere episode where instead of Hank guiding a boy to actually honest traditional pasttimes we have to focus on preaching to the audience how men are actually the problem and women are great and even Hank's mom is awesome (she literally only caused Hank problems and was a neglectful mother.)Literally the only good parts were seeing Bobby working his job. Everything else suffers from modern writing and lifeless visuals. We don't need 3 more fucking seasons.
>>153541846how would you make it actually good?Honestly, I feel there's a problem rebooting anything in the modern day, because the modern day is just so shitty and soul-sapping.I see these characters using smart phones and stuff, and part of me cries out in pain.
>>153541923>how would you make it actually good?get actual writers, seriously this reboot has one of the velma writers
>>153541923It sucks to see them using modern tech but I think the only way to handle that is to not make a point of it. Though the original already showed them trying a new HDTV (which they decided was not for them.) Maybe Bobby has a smartphone, Peggy has one because it's "in", she thinks but sucks at using it, but Hank sticks with landlines and a flip-phone at best, something that gets the only job done it needs to. And it's not a plot but a minor detail. The main issue is they suck the traditionalism right out of the show with none of the clever balancing of the original. Cotton was the hardass old man, Hank was in the middle navigating his upbringing with Bobby's era, and Bobby was the kid growing up with this type of culture from the start. Their retarded manosphere episode showed their minds are not in the right place at all on how to tackle commentary on modern society because they just end up adhering to the same writing as everyone else. How could you NOT dedicate an episode that mentions manosphere culture to delivering the important message to the audience in the 2020s that these men are terrible and need to be told to respect all women in their lives and them admit they're pathetic? While the leader gets pussywhipped by his mom and humiliated? Also this should've been a fresh start to better the characters. Judge said a long time ago he recognized during the OG that the characters got flanderized. Yet he kept going with Peggy?>>153541973One of the writers did final fantasy fanfiction iirc. We need more writers that actually care about traditionality and would like to explore and delve into its positives in today's age but good luck finding anyone left who doesn't have California's retardation in their bones. Considering he was on Bobby Gets Grilled, which actually felt a bit like the old show in how they handled racism accusations and Chane getting mad about a black guy playing an asian card, we need more people like Norm Hiscock on the revival.
King of the Hill is my favorite cartoon. Hard to believe it ended 17 years ago, but hey, it had a good run. Can't complain about 13 seasons. Yep, 13 seasons. No more than that. No, sir.
>>153540228I'd guess he goes back part time or something since he's the kind of guy who needs something to do. That was the entire impetus of Little Horrors of Shop. If we're going to see Strickland Propane maybe they'll actually check in on more of the old stuff and characters like they should have done with season 14.>>153541846I think season 14 is about on par with the last few seasons of the original run which is a fucking miracle. Yeah, the last 4 or so seasons are beneath the 3-7 peak but it's still perfectly fine and I felt the same way about season 14. I do agree that they need to tone down some of the later season flanderization that occurred though.>manosphere episodeIIRC that was written by a fucking Velma writer and is far and away the worst episode of the season because of it. There's also the retconning of G.H.'s age since he should be like 8 or 9 going by the timeline instead of around Bobby's age in the original series. It definitely feels in line with some of the shittier late era episodes.
>>153542942I'd say the last episode with the stocks was one of the few I thought was on par with a later season episode. With Peggy doing something stupid with money, Hank trying to be sensible, then he gets fucked over as soon as he buys into the bullshit and walks outside, and loses his retirement money, but lo and behold Peggy was smart and sold her stock at just the right moment?? Aside from literally showing Hank looking at Saui Aramco stocks and thinking how good they are, that was a little extra shit than usual.
>>153541923>how would you make it actually good?I'd give Bobby 2 other male friends who along with Joseph he drinks with as a mirror to Hank and his friends. I'd get a better Dale impersonator, both the original VA (who died) and the copycat they got were both terrible at recreating Dale's voice, even if he's supposed to be older.I'd give Bobby more recurring coworkers, I know it clashes with his low funding, but just one coworker who is a nice guy doesn't give Bobby the chance to bounce off of due to his work ethic (like how Hank did at Strickland). Chang and his dad kind of count, but they're not at the restaurant all the time like Hank's coworkers were.Bioomhauer's stepson is a waste of a character, Nancy getting back together with John Redcorn goes against her character development, Lucky and Luanne being gone (I know both their VAs died, but they replaced Dale and are going to have to replace John Redcorn now too if they didn't already), and Hank and Peggy being homebodies after retiring are all things I'd want to fix, somehow.
>>153543799>Bioomhauer's stepson is a waste of a characterbe glad that whole thing started and stopped on "my girlfriend's son", you're going to regret wanting more from him in the next few seasons because of that dynamic
>>153543799I feel like Bobby's cast should have been some of the Tom Landry characters. Like at least have Ramon hanging around. The fact we didn't get any Dooley is also a crime.
>>153543885Dooley is going to be revealed to be on parole and living under a bridge.
>>153543885>Bobby's cast should have been some of the Tom Landry charactersBesides Chang's dad and his chef, his cast IS technically Tom Landry characters, it's just that his cast is really small. I'd like Clark Peters to return too, though I hope they somehow keep the way he speaks as an adult.
>>153543885It feels like the new Season was a "Where are they now" Special that was expanded into a full season.
>>153544001it would explain why it felt like they were building up the reveal of bobby as something special only to cut to a generic establishing shot of his resteraunt like we'd already been used to him
>>153540228Hoo-yeah! Can't wait!!
>>153540228>A Hulu Original I'll pass
>>153540228he's retired, he just held on to the jacket
>>153546230Hank is the type of person who has to work and has to have things to occupy his time.
>>153540621Mmm... Chicken...
>>153540228Here at Strickland we don’t take shit from bitches
>>153543605New season looks too... clean. I don't like it
>>153543605Why did she decide to sell the shares, anon? You left that out.
>>153548989It's exactly the same as when a female character pisses off a male character and he has to apologize for getting mad, only for a half-assed "I'm sorry too" ending. It's still infuriating to see Peggy fuck around with money against Hank's sensible advice, him get beaten down into giving in, then he gets fucked over and loses his money while she keeps hers regardless of a silent "well, I guess he was right" reveal so she gets to keep hers despite doing all the dumb shit from the start.
>>153549017It's weird how often female characters are kept from punishment from their own actions. Hank ends up the one punished for something Peggy is the one going all in on and he tried to stay away from.KoTH was always better in the rare times Peggy was actually being screwed over for her retardation or having some actual clarity for what she was doing, like having a hellish nightmare when she pretended to be a nun for a teaching job. That's what would've made Peggy work more consistently as a character and be less hateable, but instead the series more often than not quietly supports her because you're supposed to just get that the characters see her as a moron (especially when it came to her lack of Spanish ability) but is rarely called out or affected by her hubris or retardation. Meanwhile male characters go through the whole start and end of getting called out/realizing they were doing something bad or even slightly wrong, hell even when they weren't.
>>153540245because kahn makes any stress he has about ten times worse. stress causes baldness.>>153541679the original show hinted at the fact hanks narrow uretha was in fact the result of his stressed out uptight ways.

>>153551426Horrendous. Harmful even.
>>153551782it's real but it looks like this
I know they won't but I'd pay for Hulu if they fixed Kahn's voice. Fuck the Apu guy for causing this.
