Why was Starfire's appearance in "Red Hood and the Outlaws" so controversial?

Because this was the original coloring.

I'm kinda curious what other censorship in comic is there?

Looks okay to me.
I don’t see anything nsfw

but that was in 52.

i remember because my volumes had all these extras like author's apologies and panel notes to the artists.

stuff you just couldn't away with now, maybe? tbqh i think by then comics had gone too far in 'hurr durr it's Starfire exposed in all her glorious voluptuousness' type shit. and the digital gradient tool colouring is ugly as sin.

also Lobo rips off her bikini and that's sexual assault. why does it go unpunished?
>>
Because
>She felt more like TTG blackfire mixed with the typical amnesiac girl cliche than comics Starfire
>Harras signed most of pre-Quesada Marvel editor and writer and many of them only remember the 90s stunt while the readers were starting to believe the best stories were chungus stories or Bendis writing
>It was the only time I could understand the "sexist" claims for a character during Nu52 , she fucked Roy and kissed Jason
Ironically if It was Blackfire this would have been better , that's why people liked a little more the Rebirth run, because It has Artemis
