Coyote VS ACME misrepresents his character by having him mute.

Wile was never mute, he just had no one to talk to in his shorts.

The moment he had someone to talk to (i.e. Bugs, those boys watching him on the television) he would speak. He was very full of himself but also spoke very eloquently.
