The Silver Agent is cool.
Are the later AstroCity volumes any good? I like Dark Age so far but I don't think anything will top Tarnished Angel for me.

Astro City is always good. Wish it got more threads.
>>
I love the first AC mini and then the first ongoing but I've bounced off Dark Age multiple times
>>
It never dips to the point where it isn't worth reading, but I think I'd agree that it peaks at The Dark Age. I always preferred the one/two-off stories to the full arcs though, so I don't really mind the direction the book takes (except for The Broken Man taking up so much space only to go nowhere by the time the series strops).

Silver agent is a bad ass.
AC should have gotten an adult animated series. If any comic deserved it, its this one.
Even give it an all star cast of VA.

Tarnished Angel was also my favorite, but I hated Dark Age. I found it super uninteresting.

Not always.
>>
>>153543964
I've read all of Astro City and I've never been let down

It's pretty or miss to me, and the art should be a lot better than it is.

Eh.

pretty *hit or miss, I meant
>>
>Nixon bad
The 70s called, they want their CIA propaganda back.
>>
>>153549668
So Nixon is actually good?
>>

NTA but Nixon was the Podunk California Weirdo, a real neurotic tryhard manager type, that was able to via will and a willingness to kneel when needed push his way into power among a sea of East Coast WASPs.
This left him with a massive inferiority complex and deep distrust for basically everyone from the elite he worked with to those under him, to the common man.
However Watergate did happen and it was the first massive breaking point of trust between the government and the public since the end of WW2 and combined with him being a conservative who made conservative decisions in office in an increasingly liberal media landscape with no interest in rehabilitating his image, meant that he has gone down in infamy.
Leaving us with a deeply unhappy sctizo who hated the proles and elite in equal measure, that pushed a conservative agenda, and is vilified by history making him a perfect figure of contrarian support.
AKA a perfect figure for people /here/.

Its a shame that his shitty dental work cost us the rest of that run.
Mixing the Vertigo Expy with his version of The Hand type entities was a cool idea.

Astro City is mostly good.

Overall all stories are good. The newer ones tend to be more progressive and when are from /pol/ you can hate it for being too woke. But the stories are well written and the art is good enough that you can read them even if they are “too woke“.

Not particularly but Watergate got blown completely out of proportion and was an obvious smear job that only happened because he was more resistant with playing ball with the spooks.

>making him a perfect figure of contrarian support
It's more like some people are just smart enough to not think of presidents as being all bad or all good. Making the decades of Nixon slander come off as the obvious pandering that it is
>>
>>153552501
You don't have to be from /pol/ to dislike progressive policy. I've never been to that board in my life and I don't like that shit. It's poison. I think most people don't like it, but no one really speaks their mind.
The art is generally not that good.
