I've been a fan of this comic for a while now, it's really cute. Though I'm not gonna lie, he did just sort of developed a preference for larger women over time, and it's reflected in the work. You can actively see the characters get bigger as his art improves. I guess him being friends with fat artists sort of had a hand in that.

Personally I don't really mind either way. It doesn't detract from the SoL stuff, while helping his characters feel more distinct from the IHF influence.

I am pretty sure this guy got his thing for fat women at some point afterwards since even when he changed Gert for Geraldine the latter was not that wide compared to the former, and his recent artwork of adult Gert does frequently have her as wider than his initial artwork of Geraldine.
