Lost amongst the Star Fox game news:Illumination is now developing a Star Fox movie, building off their cameo in the Super Mario Galaxy Movie
:/
... yeah? Who didn't know this?
>>153561547I guess they saw how hard furries latched onto Pokémon and decided to cash in on their furriest franchise that didn’t involve a separate company.
>>153561547Illumination movies are so ugly
>>153561547to quote one of Gru's past lives:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umDr0mPuyQc
Well, at least it'll look better than the game.
>>153561596You know when something is so obviously being planned but it is not really confirmed until someone does so?This is one of those times
>>153561633What would make them "less ugly," in your eyes?
>>153561547>Star Fox movie>By Illumination Yah blew it, Nintendo.
This is going to have so much porn!
>>153561547Illumination should know a thing or two about redeeming bad guys, right? Hope they get Wolf right.
>Miyamoto forces them to rehash the plot of Star Fox 64>It ends up being the best Nintendo Illumination movie just because it has the least incoherent plot
Imagine if the multiplayer in the new Star Fox becomes an esport.
Will Krystal be in it?
>>153564150Nintendo can’t move past 64 for a reason. I think it being so good killed the franchise.
>>153561633Somehow less ugly then the reskin of Starfox 64. A very low bar to clear but Nintendo did it.
>>153561547Bruh they are really making Illumination the "Nintendo" Studio
>>153564740Kinda like how silent hill 2 "ruined" the series since everyone has been trying to make another 2 ever since, but doing a shit job at it.
>>15356474064 couldn't even move past Star Fox 1.
>>153564797>64 was a remake of 1>64 3D was a 3DS remake of 64>zero was also a remake of 64>2 was a scrapped game that was turned into 64>and this new SF is yet another 64 remake adventures, assault, and command were the only time the series ever moved past the first game and what's extra funny is adventures wasn't even a starfox game to start with which started this little trilogy of not 1 remakes/retellings
>>153564874>Adventures>Assault>CommandThey were done by 2nd party developers rather than Nintendo themselves.Nintendo outsourcing their games were what killed their IPs like this F-Zero, and Metroid
>>153561547Japs love Illumination.
>>153564911metroid has an almost even split of games made in house and games outsourced and the quality is a pretty even split too given the prime series and dread were outsources while in house gave us the classic like 1, 2, super, and fusion
>>153564959>in house gave us the classic like 1, 2, super, and fusiontbf metroid died with gunpei yokoi who was the main driving force of the series and nintendo themselves.once he left nintendo was when things went to shit.sorry nintenfags not sorry
>>153564984miyamoto finally leaving nintendo will be the most interesting thing to see since the company will either crash hard or a bunch of shit he kept vetoing or holding back will finally go through
>Will it be a rough adaptation of the original Snes game or 64?>Who would you want to voice Andross?
>>153565022>miyamoto finally leaving nintendo will be the most interesting thing to see since the company will either crash hard or a bunch of shit he kept vetoing or holding back will finally go throughI mean some of the old veterans that have been with the company since nes are beginning to retire.hes either gonna retire or die eventually
>>153561547source? My Ass!
>>153565046>in his 70she could die tomorrow or live for another 50 years given how jap businessmen are
>>153565040>"I BEEN WAITIN' FOR YA', STAR FOX!!!"
>>153564740Same reason F-Zero has been dead and buried because they couldnt add anything new to do in the games.
>>153561547nice
Would be cool if it were an entire film animated like the 2D flashback but of course it's going to be rendered in Grubhub-o-vision like all of Illumination's shit
>>153565389why do i hope for something ala star wars/star trek for the film even though it'll promptly be accused of ripping them off
>>153564095Why would it?The first Star Fox didn't have much Rule 34. Why would THIS be any different?
>>153565538The second reply to this meme doesn’t work because the refrain “the last generation of X didn’t have much porn” is patently false with Krystal.
>>153565570Krystal is a few generations ago at this point
>>153565570No. Star Fox has never gotten really any porn at all as a series
>>153565587>Krystal by IlluminationPudgy or Sticc?
>>153565696Sticc based on Porsha Crystal
>>153565399Star Wars homage is baked into Starfox there's no escaping the accusation. Which is fine. It's one of the few cases I can think of where a Star Wars ripoff still feels like it's own thing
>>153564920They like Suki Lane
>>153561547Hope this means that Illumination won't make more shitty original movies and they go full Nintendo, because they would need all the teams available if they want to make DK movie + Star Fox movie + Mario 3
>>153561547I DON'T CARE! Everything sucks now. They suck the uniqueness out of everything in order to make it "inoffensive" and to appeal to as wide an audience as possible. They cut corners from everywhere to lower costs, producing the cheapest barebones gruel they can make. And the stories and characters are always ass because honesty and morals are dead. I AM TIRED!
Star fox has 10 games and 7 are just Star Fox 1 reboot.Check out them ignoring lylat war and doing something new
>>153566750and you failed!the only correct answer isFluffy
>>153561547Cool! Now we can experience the Lylat wars for the 7th time.
>>153566785Buster Moon eats this every night, the lucky bastard
>>153565057The source is a decently accurate scooper
if it’s not supermarionation, and it won’t be, i’m not interested
>>153568611a decently accurate pooper scooper
>>153561547If they stick to the visual style they used in those 15 seconds in the MGM, it'd be for the best, but i doubt it
Illumination is the worst possible choice for a SF movie. Unless Nintedo makes they lock the fuck in and tell a serious story with depth for once (which isn't going to fucking happen) it's going to be a disaster just like that Ratchet and Clank movie back in 2016. Personally I would've gone with Dreamworks for a SF movie but truth be it told I don't think any modern American studio could handle SF correctly.>>153561602Pokemon already had its day in the sun with animated movies over 20 years ago, though I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested in was a new theatrical Pokemon movie would look like be it /a/ or /co/.
