i miss psycho brock
gi joe brock isnt nearly as entertaining. going too deep into the osi shit was lame
>>

All the time psycho brock is a flat character with a gimmick that would wear out quickly. Brock as we know him that slips into a murder fugue sometimes and admits to enjoying it even though he knows that's bad is more interesting and gave us some of the best character development in the entire show.

Man, I tried like 3 times and never got past season 2 or 3.

It's funny 'cause I love almost everything about it, the references, the jokes mostly land for me, the settings and the worldbuilding, but idk, I can never stick around for long, I think the pacing is just fucked up, like I don't get it why it is the way it is.

I'll try and watch it again later this year or next year, maybe I can make it to season 4 this time.

Ya it does kinda tire you out. You need to have an appetite for it otherwise its easy to put down. The episodes are so dense man

How come The Monarch and 21 almost got Phantom Limb's backstory right but Hank got it completely wrong? I get that Hank is a retard and the joke is that his version is the most absurd, but the Monarch knowing he tried to improve his muscle mass and 21 knowing Billy was involved implies most details are out there and is just distorted through a game of telephone, so how did Hank completely screw it up?

The show was originally created pre-binge culture. If you try to cruise through an entire season in one go it's going to be a bit much. There's A LOT in every episode. A lot of media these days is made to be crushed like you're shotgunning a beer. Episodes of Venture Bros are more of something to sip and savor.

Try parsing out your watch time. Maybe only do an episode a week or something. One of the most fun parts for me when the series was originally airing was spending the time between episodes letting my mind wander in that world. Doc and Jackson do a great job of creating dynamic characters and throwing them into a scene and asking the question "what would this actually be like if it was real?" The hallmark of a good series is that it invites you to imagine along with the creators, but you can't do that if you're trying to speedrun the series. Give it room to breathe and it will be a lot more fun.

It's like wondering why people thought that Marylin Manson had a rib removed so he could suck his own dick. Wondering why Richard Gere broke the nose of his gay lover because he had a gerbil that got caught up his ass, his lover lit a match to try to get the gerbil to come towards the light, it hit a pocket of gas and fired the gerbil out like a cannonball. It's like wondering why Hank thought gum doesn't digest and just collects in the stomach.

Kids circulate rumors all the time and they're ridiculous and not based at all on fact. Part of it is that Hank is stupid and prone to flights of fancy (he thought he could jump off the roof of the compound and be safe if he held an umbrella), but he's also a teenager who may not be privy to the same game of telephone the adults are. Think back to when you were 16...there was probably all sorts of gossip the adults around you were chatting about that they didn't rope you in on.

I think it says a lot about an actor when they can essentially use the same exact voice with similar inflections, but imbue the character with so much distinct personality that you would never confuse two characters that they portrayed.

>Marylin Manson

it was Prince! and before that I'm told it was either one of the Rolling Stones or Jimi Hendrix!

I think you know you've made it as a celebrity when you're offered the rib removal auto-felation upgrade.
