Helga carried the show. If Angus Onlong had his way and made the show centered around Susie, I doubt it would have made it would have gone any further than a pilot.

That's a trick I've relied on for a long while now. It adds alot of personality to her.

Frankly I'm always conflicted by that thought. The show we did get was quite good, and as far as Simpsons-clones went, it's probably one of the more memorable ones. Alot of great characters were born from the series and it had quite a few great gaffs while it lasted. Yet, being a fan of the book, I find myself yearning for more Susie in any form.
