Watching Maguire, Garfield and Holland interact was fun, but I will argue the true peak of the movie and the MCU Spider-Man trilogy as a whole so far was the apartment fight scene with Green Goblin going nuclear.

That was the scene that cemented it for me that no superhero movie villain will ever stand equal, let alone surpass, Dafoe's Green Goblin.

They need to have Norman doing moves like that in the comics.

Honestly the funny thing about no way home is it’s literally everything that’s right and wrong with the superhero genre as it stands, it has solid character moments and great action but its plot is retarded that falls apart with the slightest thought. But the whole green goblin stuff was the perfect “I’m 11 again and I’m hopped up on sugar and swinging my arms describing green goblin power bombing spidey through a few floors”

Someone post the spinebuster.

Bad film, literally Fortnite style cameoslop.

It really is peak, it's one of the few moments in the MCU that truly captures the vibes of the best moments from Spider-Man comics, Peter's struggle and desperation against a psychotic monster like Norman, played totally earnest and with the verisimilitude that so many comic book movies lack now that it's a machine like the MCU.

I think Willem's insistence on doing stunts by himself and his general POV on movies and actual backbone when it comes to how he himself comes off in a movie means scenes like that happen. And like they need a villain and knew that there had to be something of substance that garnered some sort of actual emotional reaction out of the viewer. They probably thought it was anger and sadness over GG winning and killing Aunt May. But nah it was >>153575667 that actually got a reaction out of me. Stormin' Norman will forever prove dominant over any other villain.

>MCU Spider-Man trilogy
Not a trilogy anymore

It gets totally deflated when Holland easily gets him back while also dealing with other shit at the same time later though. Makes it feel like the actual cool scene didn't actually matter.

it's also simultaneously the best interdimensional crossover ever, and the shining example of why it makes no fucking sense.
Anyone, anyone with plural brain cells, would quickly say 'wait, why is the version of me in another dimension totally different looking, as if played by a different actor? and his suit looks a bit like mine, but different, as if designed by a different movie wardrobe guy?' like people aren't fools, they know the difference between 'slight variations' and 'clearly metafiction'

but whatever, I liked it. They did the hard thing and really fucked over the life of the character cared about, because his life being fucked is why we care about him, and so far he hadn't really had that.

Serious doubts this will be even a little good. Adapting 'The Other' is a fucktarded idea.

Willem Dafoe has such a fascinating facial structure...

The Home movies are still a trilogy.

YES, HE'S WEARING THAT DUMB POWER RANGERS MASK
BUT HE'S SCARIER WITHOUT IT ON

Spiderman is highly satanic because he gets the power from spiders aka DEMONS. It's like they want to upset little christians

Spiders eat flies, and it's flies you should be scared of. Say what you will about spiders but they aren't the ones who walk all over your lunch after walking on a dog turd.

The nostalgia injection from the cameos was the only good thing about the film.
