>2026>Minions are still a thing
Minions aren't going anywhere brotha
>>153578183munchkins > minions
i really love minions. despicable me 2 is my favourite movie of all time.
The Minions are the only modern animated comedy movies that are actually funny and cartoony. Everything else is reliant on millennial “oof im so adorkable” humor or tries to be “deep”. I appreciate Minions for being stupid bullshit slapstick. You just hate them because you see them at Target.
>>153578183it's truly a strange paradoxto live in an age where no show, no matter how good, is gonna get more than 6-episode seasons and is extremely likely to be canceled immediatelyunless it's terrible, then it will continue on for fucking 13 years or get 9 movie sequels
>>153579318they're hideous even by cartoon standardsi like things that are cute, or if silly, have some kind of drawing skill to them. garfield etc. This looks more like someone saw the bill murray garfield and said 'yeah let's keep that aesthetic in mind'
Illumination never produced anything of value.
>>153579890Migration was good, that's about it.
>>153579902[samefag]Now I see why /co/ loves this movie.
>>153578183>STILL hating on Minions in 2026 it's sad to see the lengths you'll go to try and feel special
>>153579701nah
>>153579890The original Despicable Me film is exclusively their only good release.
>>153579318>>153580227You know what irks me most about them? Just like all the other illumination releases, nothing of note gets done with them. They show up and instigate a series of wacky antics for a half an hour and then the ""movie"" just happens around them.If the minions had some actual character I'd be all for them. They've had countless opportunities to deliver on this front. Instead we've gotten 10 movies worth of gibberish, fart jokes, and slapstick. The Mega Minions in DM4 were the final straw for me. I assumed they were really going to try and make a franchise with those things. I expected half the movie to follow them doing capeshit antics and maybe becoming directly beholden to Gru's son as some new great evil genius. Instead they do nothing. They're barely in the film. They did more with the purple mutant minions in DM2.
Bump
>>153579902>>153582305Both are kinda correct, altought the original Despicable Me is the only real good movie that studio has and will ever have, but Migration has the better animation and artistic direction of all the movies of Illumination by far.
>>153578183
>>153582333they wont even age Gru's girls FFS. The whole franchise is running on minion farts.
Minions x rabbids crossover when?
>>153585903Back when I unironically loved the Minions, I would've loved this.
>>153585483Next you'll tell me the Simpsons won't age Bart, Lisa and Maggie
>>153587063Gru has a son now.
>>153578183I never like DnD shit
>>153585483I don’t know if you know this but most cartoon characters don’t age.
>>153583966>Migration has the better animation and artistic direction of all the movies of Illumination by far.Agreed, it was genuinely shocking to see an Illumination film with that much squash and stretch.
The hate for Minions feels like when teenagers and grown-ass adults 25 years ago acted like they were cool for wanting Barney to die when in reality it’s kinda weird to be childless and so upset about something you aren’t the audience for.
>>153587267>>153587168
>>153579318> actually funny and cartoony>actually funny
