How do they have as many episodes as they have, yet virtually ZERO impact on pop culture?
>>153578953Because kids don't watch cartoons on cable tv anymore, they watch indie Youtube ones like TADC.
>>153578953>How do they have as many acres as they have, yet virtually ZERO impact on agriculture?
>>153579003lmao kids are not watching TADC. teens maybe but not kids
>>153578953Most shows are like this. The other day I remembered that the show ‘According to Jim’ existed. Ran for 9 years, 182 episodes, and I’ve never met a single person who has ever talked about it fondly or even cared that it existed. It has zero modern fans and no impact but it lasted the entire 2000s decade.
does Tilly have a big bush?
>>153579392It still airs in reruns everyday. I see it all the time. Yet when I went to the doctor’s a few months ago they had it on the TV and I could not recognize it. It looked so generic that it seemed like a parody/amalgamation of every post-80s family sitcom ever. I didn’t even catch the title sequence. It had Dan Aykroyd in one episode that was kinda neat. It was so cheesy that started to grow on me. Should I be worried?
>>153579346I'm the first to separate the two, but if you're talking gen Z, there's no difference. They are kids well into their 20s.>>153579392>>153579452Sitcoms are kinda different. They cost basically nothing to make. What's sad is, a lot of them are good. but who wants to wade through the bad ones?
>>153578953>literally Disney's The Simpsons no wonder it's still so obscure
>>153578953Big City Greens is a perfectly serviceable show, but kids just have way too many options vying for their attention nowadays. Some inoffensive family-friendly comedy cartoon on fucking Disney+ isn't gonna be their first choice, especially as they gradually age out of the target audience. I do love the show, but it lacks the edge and angst and higher overarching stakes that'd hold more tweens and teens' attention.
>>153578953*looks up how many episodes* Hholy SHIT...
>>153579346TADC is literally made to appeal to iPad babiesYou don't get 400m views just from adults
>>153580721>"No seriously, with the new breast pumps and Diaper Genies and corporate flex time, child rearing oughta be a snap!">*even harder laughter*If this was a Season 20+ episode they would have been in absolute awe of the new information.
>>153578953I was just thinking this the other day. Of all the recent Disney shows... this is the one that survives? It's funny, but has zero impact. You laugh at some silly moments then completely forget what the episode was about. It must be kept around to launder money o algo.
>>153579003>Because kids don't watch cartoons on cable tv anymore, they watch brainrot on TikTokftfy
>>153582850>You don't get 400m views just from adultsyou do when those adults are severely autistic and watch each episode several times because they get to imagine for a short time that they actually have a personality.
>>153584606>It's funny, but has zero impactI think that's why it's lasted so long. It doesn't rile any feathers from either side of the political divide. It's not particularly good, but there's nobody using it as some sort of pawn in an incredibly retarded debate. It's just bland slop that people consume because it's available and it's not terrible. This is the future.
>>153578953It's because it's actual kids watching it, and kids don't impact "pop culture" in your adult aged animation fandom bubble.
>>153582268>>153582837>>153579003But how does it have so many eps? Clearly it had to be popular at some capacity
>>153585614It likely was popular and the only reason no one took notice of it is that the animation fandom no longer takes notice of strictly kiddie cartoons.
