>DC has announced a new crossover called Kingdom of Zod, set to run through Supergirl, Action Comics, Superman Unlimited, and Superman this August and September. The story brings together writers Joshua Williamson, Sophie Campbell, Mark Waid, and Dan Slott, along with artists Eddy Barrows, Joe Quinones, Montos, and Rachael Stott, as Superman and the Super-Family face off against General Zod in a storyline that pulls together major threats from across the current era.

>The crossover kicks off August 12 in Supergirl #16, where a sudden military takeover throws the Kryptonite Kingdom of El Caldero into chaos. Kara responds by forming a strike team that includes Superboy-Prime, Conner Kent, Tomorrow Man, Steel, and others, only to discover the invading force has Kryptonian roots. That same day in Action Comics #1101, Superman returns to the present following the events of issue #1100 and is quickly pulled into the growing conflict.

>As the story unfolds, Zod’s return and his role in the invasion become clearer, setting up a major twist tied to Kryptonite that raises the stakes across the globe. Guillem March provides connecting covers for all four series in August, with additional variants by artists including Stephanie Hans, Ariel Olivetti, Mike Choi, ACO, Taurin Clarke, and Christian Ward, plus foil covers by Mark Spears.
>>
>The crossover continues August 19 in Superman Unlimited #16, where Zod’s plan expands, and a Kryptonite-based threat begins spreading worldwide. The first phase wraps on August 26 in Superman #41, as Superman, Supergirl, and their allies confront Zod directly.

>The story carries into September with additional chapters across all four titles, culminating in Superman: Kingdom of Zod Special on September 30. The crossover brings the full Super-Family together for a large-scale battle against one of their most dangerous enemies, with the future of the House of El hanging in the balance.

>The publisher revealed three covers illustrated by John Giang, each highlighting asia heroes and characters. The variants will be featured on select titles releasing in May, including Batman #9 with Katana, Justice League Unlimited #19 with Ryan Choi’s Atom, and Superman #38 showcasing Cheshire Cat and Red Canary.

>The covers continue DC’s ongoing effort to recognize asia Month by putting a focus on characters whose backgrounds and identities have helped shape the DC Universe. That includes long-standing figures like Katana and Ryan Choi, along with newer additions such as Red Canary and Cheshire Cat.

>Giang’s artwork adds to a broader celebration happening across DC this month. The publisher has also launched a dedicated AAPI hub on DC Universe Infinite, featuring stories created by asia talent and collections centered on asia heroes. Titles highlighted include Monkey Prince by Gene Luen Yang and Bernard Chang, Spirit World by Alyssa Wong and Haining, City Boy by Greg Pak and Minkyu Jung, and The Vigil by Ram V and Lalit Kumar Sharma. The collection also includes spotlight reads from creators like Jim Lee, Mariko Tamaki, and Dustin Nguyen, as well as the current Batgirl series featuring Cassandra Cain.

>Witchblade writer Marguerite Bennett (Odin, Bombshells, Batwoman) is teaming with fan-favorite artist Laura Braga (Future State: The Next Batman, Captain Marvel, Dazzler) for a new crossover one-shot, Witchblade/Vampirella #1. The issue arrives in August from Image Comics and Top Cow, with a second crossover, Vampirella/Witchblade #1, following in September from Dynamite Entertainment by writer Erica Schultz (Rat City, The Deadliest Bouquet) and artist Valentina Pinti (Daredevil: Unleash Hell).

>“This is the kind of crossover that only works when everyone leans in—creatively and as partners,” said Top Cow President and COO Matt Hawkins. “You’ve got two iconic characters, two publishers, and a story that doesn’t play it safe. It puts Sara and Vampirella on a collision course where trust is fragile, and the consequences are permanent.”

>The swap between publishers is similar to what DC and Marvel have been up to over the last year.

>Dynamite Entertainment CEO and Publisher Nick Barrucci added, “It’s been over 20 years since Witchblade and Vampirella teamed up. The previous stories were fantastic, and we needed the right creators to ensure that we were bringing even more compelling stories to the fans. Working hand-in-hand with Top Cow, we were able to do just that. These stories will excite fans and we can’t wait to get these stories into fans’ hands.”

>The first one-shot centers on Detective Sara Pezzini, who has faced plenty of supernatural threats, but nothing quite like this. A mutated vampire begins tearing through the city, leaving chaos in its wake and pushing Sara to her limits. As the situation worsens, Vampirella arrives to help, but Sara has already been bitten. With time running out, the question becomes whether Vampirella will act to save her or end the threat before it spreads.

>“Witchblade and Vampirella go together like me and Laura Braga—our story is fun, sexy, ferocious, and full of monstrosity,” said Bennett.

>Marvel is marking a major milestone this August with Thor #800, and the spotlight is on a very different kind of hero.

>Written by Al Ewing with art by Pasqual Ferry, Mortal Thor #14/LGY #800 continues the current saga with Sigurd Jarlson at its center. With the original God of Thunder gone, Sigurd has stepped into the role in his own way, relying on courage and determination rather than divine power. Now, he faces his greatest test yet as The Serpent pushes him to his limits in a trial that could decide the fate of the Ten Realms.

>The anniversary issue builds on the fallout from Immortal Thor, where Thor sacrificed himself to fuel a spell cast by Loki. That spell erased him from memory and severed Asgard’s connection to Midgard. The story has since continued through Mortal Thor, following Sigurd as he tries to live a normal life while dealing with threats tied to Thor’s past, including Donald Blake and Mr. Hyde. Each encounter has brought him closer to understanding his connection to the missing god, with this issue set to deliver a turning point.

>“Issue #800 wraps up some long-running plotlines that have plagued Thor since before his death, but it also sets Sigurd Jarlson on a quest that will send him through the realms of myth to an Asgard that’s never needed a Thor more than now,” said Ewing. “Sigurd is still without any powers beyond his own courage, wits, and willpower — can a mortal face the trials of the gods, save ten worlds, and bring the Thunder God back to the people who need him? I couldn’t ask for a better artist than Pasqual Ferry to help tell this story, and I hope you all enjoy the ride we’ve got planned for you. #800 is only the beginning!”

>The oversized issue will also include additional stories from Chris Condon and artist Jesse Lonergan, along with a contribution from Kieron Gillen, returning to a character he helped define in earlier runs.

>In the main story, Sigurd finds himself trapped in a brutal scenario crafted by The Serpent, forced to prove his worth without even a weapon in hand. His journey will take him across mythic realms as he attempts to restore Thor and bring balance back to a fractured world.
>>
>Marvel has also revealed a lineup of covers for the issue, including a main cover by Alex Ross and a variant by Ryan Stegman, along with interior pages showcasing Ferry’s work.

>Mortal Thor #14/LGY #800 arrives this August, kicking off the next phase of Ewing’s ongoing story and setting the stage for what comes next.

Kinda funny that Kon and Natasha are still wearing their Dawn of DC jacket.
Funny in a pathetic kind of way, like, you guys can change already lmao
>>
Once again, these two are ignored.
DC knows they needed a "young" characters for the Super-Family after they ruined Jon, but no one cares about these two.
>>153585249
If we want to cope, maybe kid Jon is included in "and others", but realistically they probably just mean Superwoman, the other Steel, and the Super-Twins.
I never got my hopes up in the first place anyway.

They're ignored because no one likes them. They're shitty OCs that add nothing of value.

>Why is Kon back to looking like a faggot?
He's from the 90s, he was always kinda faggy looking until they gave him the shirt and jeans so he'd look more like a jock and less like a punk faggot.
But when Bendis brought him back, he was using his 90s look, so he's back to looking like a fag, and he's been stuck like that since then.

The value they add is that PKJ gets to use them.
But only him, because every other Superman writer acts like Jon is Clark's only kid, and that asshole isn't even a kid anymore, he was planning on moving away with his fag boyfriend until he got dumped.
