When you have a character like that, you can't have them do anything particularly evil or people will get upset from the fact that he never gets a proportional comeuppance. I'm referring in particular to the case in Nu52 where Deathstroke dropped Chemo on Bludhaven killing hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians and never got any kind of a punishment for it.(Fucking Terra is not even evil and is pure neo-puritan bullshit as it was clearly consensual.)
